Since 2010 Stay Raja Ampat has provided tens of thousands of adventurers from around the world the opportunity to experience the incredible natural environment of the islands responsibly, ensuring that income from tourism supports local communities and their aspirations: to retain control of, and protect their traditional lands and seas. We are still the only provider of locally owned accommodation in the islands with on-the-ground support available, and the only provider where all profits go back to the community and providing a better experience for guests. The Raja Ampat Homestay Association was the recipient of the 2017 UNDP Equator prize for outstanding indigenous initiatives.
