Mansuar’s Yenbuba village is a ten minute boat ride away and basic supplies can be purchased there. As for all Raja Ampat homestays, please take any inorganic trash you generate away with you: You’ll be contributing to the rubbishing of Raja Ampat if you don’t.

Activities

Diving

Sunday Diving: No diving on Sundays

Yenbuba Homestay has an on-site dive center operated by Roki - an SSI certified Divemaster. In-house guests do not need to book dives in advance.

April 2024 dive prices for dives at local Kri sites are as below. Dives at other sites will incur shared boat cost.

DIVES PER PERSON PRICE (IDR)
Per dive, equipment supplied 750,000
Per dive, all own equipment 550,000
2 morning dives 1,400,000
3 dives in one day 2,000,000

Snorkelling

Yenbuba has great snorkeling on its house reef beyond the inshore seagrass shallows. You need to bring your own snorkelling gear. At low tide extensive sandbanks join Kri to the nearby islet of Ransiwor and beyond that to Mansuar. The sandbanks are worth exploring to see the myriad of creatures trapped in the tidal pools, but be sure to wear sun protection while doing so!

The sandbanks also provide access to the village of Yenbuba on Mansuar, which has some great snorkelling beneath its jetty and in the channel between Yenbuba and Ransiwor. Be aware of currents if you decide to explore the channel.

The sandbanks make it possible to walk to Yenbuba at low tide, but be careful to time your return appropriately or you'll be in need of a boat to get back.

Hiking

Paths lead to the heights of northern Kri behind the homestay, from where panoramic Dampier Strait views can be had. The jungle you'll pass through on the way is rich with birdlife and if you're quiet and observant you may encounter one of  Kri's resident monitor lizards. Long walks along the north shore of Kri are possible at low tide, and crossing the sandbanks mentioned above will open up the possibility of long treks from Yenbuba to the other villages and sights of Mansuar.

  • Siamo stati 5 giorni a Yenbuba homestay.

  • We spent a week diving at Yenbuba homestay and we are really happy about the staff, the food, and the service provided. The homestay location and house reef are amazing. We would higly recommend this homestay.

  • We stayed for a week with yenbuba and had a lovely time. Great hospitality. The food was very good. Noor the cook did a great job and also gives a wonderful massage. We used soul scuba and had a fabulous experience on our very first dive vacation. We would love to come back.

  • Taucherparadies!!

  • The staff is amazing – always at service for anything that you need. Really friendly and kind. The food is perfect – delicious and more than enough for everyone. The private bungalow is okay – the only plus is a private toilet, but the shared toilets are also really good so we would be more satisfied with the over water bungalow. The private bungalow doesn’t have much light since it is under the trees while the over water bungalow has much more light, air and a better view. So I would recommend to book an over water bungalow!

  • Had a great time staying here! Zero complaints…staff bends over backwards to make sure you are happy, food is the best on the island (evidenced by people staying at other homestays asking to eat here!), mini fans provided to keep you cool at night after the power shuts off, rat proof box to store snacks, hot water shower was a real luxury! Didn’t try the scuba center because we dove with Soul but it looked nice and brand new. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Pane, frutta, marmellate, caffè, the e acqua sempre a disposizione.

  • Such a beautiful location! Waking up with sunrise on the dock and watching sunset… the lunch & diner dishes are amazing!! Compliments to the cook.

  • What an amazing stay! Yenbuba staff, hospitality, food, activities and environment was absolutely a home away from home. As a vegetarian I was a little worried about the food but Rocky and his team ensured there was vegetarian options with every meal (tofu, tempa, vegetable tempura etc…) and even offered to make me omelettes. The team offer some amazing snorkelling tours and an awesome house reef where we saw walking sharks and dugongs! Thank you so much can’t wait to come back one day

  • We stayed at Yenbuba Homestay for six days in December 2025 and it was an incredible stay. First of all, the staff is great, they are always present and they try to accomplish every need you have. The food is very good, good variety and definitely enought for everyone, with water, tea and fruit always available during the day. Additionally, a big shoutout for the vegetarian options: being vegetarian I’m always scared not to find options but this was not the case, plus the staff always cheked with me if I wanted something more. The bungalow were confortable and the toilets always clean. The location is incredible and even the snorkeling from the jetty is worth it.
I highly reccomend this homestay, It was an amazing stay for us.

  • Excellent Stay with a bit of upgraded amenities from out last homestay (which was also great)… Yenbuba staff were really helpful and friendly, we were able to hire a go pro as mine stopped working, went on a snorkel trip… and the day we left early for Waisai, the team had put out some bread so we can get some brekkie before 7 am… food was good and plenty in every meal with snacks, tea, coffee throughout the day… 3 of us stayed in a beach bunglow which didnt get the sea breeze as much as the cottages up front… the electricity ran till midnight but the fan had a battery to kept running till 3/4 am… the attached toilet was huge, clean and had a flush toilet, shower had good enough water pressure… I sometimes used the shared toilet which also were very clean… the only thing i’d say could improve is the mosquito nets, being on the beach cottage with less breeze the nets were needed to protect from mozzies but since they came down from top center and didnt have enough space on the side, we did get some bites through the net !!! Something to consider…. went diving with Soul Scuba… and the house reef is absolutely fabulous even if you can’t make it any other snorkel spot, you can just swim from the jetty … the walk over water to the sandbank was good fun in the evenings

  • Yenbuba was my first of three. They are one of the larger ones. Very organized. Great food with wide variety. Stayed on land with attached bathroom. Comfortable. Would like to suggest a bigger mosquito net. A small
Improvement. I dived with them and whilst I will say their dive briefings could be better they were always willing to go on my own if there were no others. Had my own gear but their quality is good. They are about to expand so can expect an improvement. House reef is very good. An example
Of their usefulness I needed a new battery for my Zoop and they had one. He did say it may not last(yes Roki it didn’t) but it has got me through the week. Paying is easy. Cash, wise or credit card. If you want total isolation this is not it. However despite swing near other homestays I found it quiet peaceful and truly a great introduction to RJ. Roki and Ami are doing a great job. Don’t be frightened to use Yenbuba instead of Soul Dive especially if you are experienced. Nothing wrong with Soul Dive. Many stay nearby and use them.Highly recommended.

  • A disappointment….
Because of an overbooking we had a bungalow very far from restaurant and bathroom.
Very old and broken bungalow compared to the Yenyuba bungalows is offering.
Be careful and make sure to be placed in authentic Yenyuba homestay !!!
    Food is very good.

). Bien sûr le reef devant est super pour le snorkeling…Can’t wait to come back!!!

  • We loved our stay at Yenbuba! Pristine location, amazing coral life and great dive center options between Yenbuba and Soul Scuba.

We were well taken care of by Roky and Abi, and the rest of the crew at Yenbuba. The meals had excellent options, including alternatives for vegetarians.

The accomodation was also well-maintained with easy access to snorkeling along the beautiful reef.

  • A fantastic reef, excellent for snorkeling, despite being frequented by many divers due to the dive center. Roki and Adi organized wonderful snorkeling trips in the area for us. With their smiles and kindness, they accommodated all our requests. Excellent food in large quantities, with a very convivial atmosphere during meals. The bathrooms are tiled with a more Western style than other places and are always clean. My husband and I stayed from October 17th to 23rd and were thrilled with the experience! Highly recommended.

  • Had a good stay at Yenbuba. It’s definitely in a lovely spot! Really enjoyed the great snorkelling on the house reef, and across to Ransiwor and Yenbuba Jetty on Mansuar. Also did a fabulous trip over to Piaynemo and Fam Wall. Thanks to Roky and Abi who were super lovely!

  • We loved our stay at Yenbuba Homestay, which is managed by a great local team! The shared bathroom is by far the best equipped and cleanest we experienced during our stay in Raja Ampat (we visited several homestays), the bungalows are very nice, some with an extraordinary sunset few! The offered meals three times a day were very good and enough for everyone staying at the homestay. Water, tea, coffee toast and fruit were available all day and it was also possible so buy soft drinks, beer and snacks at a kiosk nearby.
The homestay is currently building a new three-story dive school, planned to open next year with a bar etc.
The house reef is just overwhelming for snorkeling, bursting with live and left us speechless, we definitely recommend staying here!
Last but not least we loved the whole team, especially Rocky and Abi who are just lovely, very caring, helpful and always carrying a smile on their face. In the end it felt like staying with friends.
Thank you for making our stay perfect!

  • Our experience was absolutely positive. The accommodation was exactly as described, very comfortable, especially the private bathroom, which we really appreciated. The food was simple but tasty and varied, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, starting with Rocky, the manager, the diving staff and everyone else. The place is wonderful, we would love to come back.

  • Wonderful stay! Overwater bungalows had raised beds with mosquito nets. A lock for the cabinet for valuables. Porch with hammock and seating. Area to wash and dry clothes. Restrooms with running water. WiFi and electricity was adequate. Food was good! Staff was very accommodating and helped with day trips if needed. Dove with Soul Scuba at the end of the dock and had a great experience with 6 dives. Great snorkeling off the dock. Would recommend to friends! Recommend sending WhatsApp message ahead of time to confirm boat transfer from the ferry.

  • We had a really pleasant stay at Yenbuba. The huts have everything you need for your stay. They are simple but comfortable. The food is good and the portions are sufficient. The Yenbuba staff were very kind and always willing to meet our needs. Some of the diving equipment needs to be renewed (especially the regulators and octopus), and it would also be very much appreciated to make an effort to reduce language difficulties.

Ebit, Marcelo, and Michael were the perfect team for our diving experiences. Roki (and the other person in the dining area, whose name I unfortunately forgot) are fantastic people. I missed having more interaction with the local population, such as a visit to a nearby village or a bit more information about the area.

    We will definitely come back.

  • We had a great time at Yenbuba! Rocky and Abby are the best managing the place. Some minor areas for improvement are the mosquito nets (they barely cover the entire bed) and the fact that it might get noisy during some nights because of the dogs and the power generator. We would highly recommend it if you want to discover & enjoy Kri!

  • We stayed at Yenbuba Homestay, managed by Rocky and Abby, and absolutely loved it. The staff were really helpful and keen to help in anyway possible. The food was the best around, and the relaxed atmosphere with music made it a perfect place to unwind. Conveniently located near Soul Dive, it easily accommodated our family of two adults and two children. My husband enjoyed a dive, and we explored incredible snorkelling spots with a local guide. We would definitely recommend Yenbuba Homestay and would happily return!

Conveniently located near Soul Dive, it easily accommodated our family of two adults and two children. My husband enjoyed a dive, and we explored incredible snorkelling spots with a local guide. We would definitely recommend Yenbuba Homestay and would happily return!

  • Yenbuba was a great place to stay. Friendly and helpful staff. It is a busy homestay with more than the advertised 7 huts and a new three storey building being built. You get warm showers, wifi and sufficient power. You have the choice of diving with Yenbuba or Soul diving located on the end of the jetty. Would stay there again. Recommended.

  • Fantastic place to stay in Raja Ampat. Yenbuba is brilliantly managed by Rocky and his staff. If you dive, you’ll love both Kri and Yenbuba.

The dive centre is well set up with brand new equipment and a team of great guides, and they plan your dive trips and locations with your interests in mind, as well as prevailing weather and currents, and take great care to make your experience highly memorable.

Yenbuba’s accommodation includes the beach huts with bathrooms where we stayed. these are very basic but comfortable. The meals at the restaurant are excellent, probably the best around.

We’d certainly stay there again – which is the best kind of recommendation!

  • We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Yenbuba for 5 days and 4 nights, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and hospitality of the entire team — especially Roky, Radit, Nur, and everyone else — made us feel right at home. Their kindness and attention to detail made it genuinely hard to leave.

The food was incredible — every single meal was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. A special thank you to Nur for the amazing culinary experience! The rooms were spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, and staying in the water bungalows was a dream — waking up to the sound of the sea each morning was pure magic.

Everything was not only as advertised but even better than expected. The property is pristine, the atmosphere serene, and the access to Soul Scuba right on-site made our three days of diving smooth and effortless.

I wholeheartedly recommend Yenbuba to anyone looking for an exceptional stay in Raja Ampat. This place is a gem, and I already can’t wait to return. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special — we left with full hearts and incredible memories.

  • After having stayed in 3 homestays on 3 different islands, we can say that Yenbuba is the best. Our over water bungalow was big and really confortable (raise bed, fan, closet, 2 long chairs, hamock etc…). The bathroom were clean and work all day long. We also had a shower and a tap only for our bungalow which is mostly appreciated after snorkeling.
The food was also good and plenty and the hosts were really nice, attentive and speak a perfect english.
The Soul Scuba Dive center is on the next ponton so really easy to go from the homestay. It was possible to do our interdive in our bungalow.
We initially planned to stay 4 nights and we extended of 4 more as we were feeling so good in this place. If we have the chance to come back, we will come to Yenbuba for sure.

  • I sent my honeymoon trip with Yenbuba homestay. It was best choice to us. Overwater Bangalore has very nice view and shower room and toilet is quite clean. Every supplied foods were always delicious. Also, host Rockey is very nice guy. He always replied my all asking and questions quickly and gently. And also Yenbuba’s driver Delman is also very nice and good guy to us, we appreciate of him too.

  • We had a great time at Yenbuba homestay. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the bungalow and the facilities were clean and the location was amazing. We have seen baby sharks swimming under our bungalow many times and Yenbuba homestay is definitely one of the most comfortable stays around this area. Would stay here in the future too!

  • I stayed 5 days in yenbuba and i agree with other comments. Compared with the other homestay i was, this felt like a resort. Nice clean big bungalow. Nice toilets and showers (waterpressure could be better 😉 ) very good food, also for vegetarians and enough fruits. Radit is very friendly and did a very good job taking care of the guests and his english is excellent.

The diving was also nice with yenbuba so give it a go in case soul scuba is full booked 😉(since most guests there go with the more professional center soul scuba)

That said, i will visit yenbuba again if i come back to raja.

  • I stayed in three home stays during my trip and will not write About the other two as they were frankly very disappointing. However Yenbuba was a great experience, it’s run more like a basic resort than a home stay, the staff are well trained and very reactive to guests needs , rooms are clean well placed and have running fans and proper beds with mosquito nets . Showers and toilets are impeccably clean and power never seemed to be a problem . I went hungry in the other homestays as the food was close to inedible, but at Yenbuba I ate well as theyHave a very passionate chef. Called Noor she is such a great asset to the team , I am a professional chef of 36 years so I know what I’m talking about , she even showed me how to make a special sambal . Note to owner if you were to equip her kitchen better I reckon you could really bring in higher revenues on the food as a upselling point of you homestay and offer a la carte options out side of meal periods . I’m sure there are lots of guests on Kri in homestays eating shitty food . As for rats put your food in the plastic containers they give you and you won’t see them . Great job Yenbuba next time I come back I will only stay with you ( no more exploring for me )

  • We loved our stay at Yenbuba Homestay! The bungalows are spacious & the small veranda is wonderful to watch the sunset in the evening. The bed is super comfortable. The showers & toilets are very good & also very clean (it is not a hotel so you cannot expect a shower with a high water pressure, but the showers are better than in most other stays). The food was always good & enough! Also during our whole stay (5 nights) we never ate the same dish twice, except their fabulous homemade donuts that we asked Roky to serve again 😉 Even for me as a vegetarian there were always good options (e.g. Tempe, Tofu, Eggs etc.)
Roky and his team are wonderful hosts & are trying their best to make your stay comfortable. Roky is a fabulous manager & always helpful with any organizations (e.g. trips, pick ups etc.).
The house reef (right in front of Yenbuba) is fantastic for snorkeling and better than most other snorkeling areas that we‘ve seen in Raja!

We definitely recommend Yenbuba Homestay & hope to come back sometime 🙂

  • Their reservation system isn’t great because you have to try booking multiple times to see if it’s available or not… instead of just giving availability after the first reservation request.

I loved the cabin on the water, it was very comfortable, the internal works well, the showers are very good which is rare on the island, the dining room is conducive to discussions. Only thing, the buffet is quite simple and I would have liked to have eggs in the morning. Overall I recommend this Homestay. I did not dive with them unfortunately.

  • We have been Several times in Raja Ampat and this was our first stay in a Homestay. The food was better than we expected and every day a different menu was served. Spacious bungalow with porch, big bathroom and fan. The environment was kept clean and a rat-free box is provided, so no signs of rats. Waisai pickup and dropoff was well organized by our host Roky. The fantastic diveoperation Soulscuba is right nextdoor.

  • First time to Indonesia. We stayed 4 nights at Yenbuba then did 3 nights at the Raja Ampat Dive Lodge. Roki and the staff were very fun and the meals were simple and great. We had the beach room with the en-suite bathroom which was nice, but if we were to do it again we’d try the over water bungalows without hesitation. The shared bathrooms were clean and quite nice. We dove with Soul Scuba, which has a chill vibe and relaxing hangout spot on the jetty. And the house reef at Yenbuba was beautiful. No complaints! But we never found the hiking trail to the viewpoint.

If you opt for a resort like RADL, you get hotel style rooms, air conditioning, and maybe better meals, but you’re going to pay double+ for diving. If we do it again, I’m sure we’d opt for the home stay and focus our savings on diving and activities.

  • It is a very comfortable Homestay, it is a 5 star Homestay and for Rocky I give 6 stars because he is an excellent Homestay Manager, he is kind, caring and ready to give advice and help, I plan that if I come back to Kri again, I will go diving with Rocky, Yenbuba Homestay is a Homestay with very large rooms, there is electricity during the day, there are hammocks to use, there is a fan in the room, the view in front of the room is a beautiful sea view, delicious food, a variety, the wifi signal in the restaurant area is very strong, the shared bathroom is clean, there is hot water to shower, there is a dive center on the property and it is near the Soul scuba dive shop.

  • The host was fantastic!, food was good and accommodation was as expected. This is not a hotel, so set your expectations as such 😁 there are two dive centers right there within 30m of eachother and they offer special trips to catch the highlights of the area!

  • We had an amazing week at Yenbuba home stay!!!! Roki and all the staff was really friendly and amazing. We had one of the old bungalows but I have to say we were really comfortable ,bed was great, having a small rechargeable fan was a plus for when the generator wasn’t working and mosquito net was really new!!! Food was THE BEST that we had in Raja Ampat, always plenty for everyone. There are flush toilets and hot showers!!!! If you are a diver you know how nice is to warm up after diving!!!! Yenbuba is without doubt the best home stay in Kri by far!!!! Oh , and they have fresh coke and beer if you want to treat yourself!!!!!Thank you so much to Roki and all the team for make our stay memorable, we will definitely come back!!!!

  • Good homestay with raised beds, good mosquito nets and fan provided (though the fan in my room was attached to the wall across the room so it did not actually reach my bed). Housereef is nice, though Kri is facing a lot of coral bleaching and trash atm.
Food was good and they catered for vegans aswell. Few people got food poisoning in the week i was staying there.
Staff is super nice, rocky and abi are always helpful. Yenbuba homestay divecenter is nice, with new gear.

Yo no buceo).

  • Amazing place, comfortable rooms, nice people. The food was very good especially the soups. The overwater bungalows are perfect for sunrise swim and drinking coffee after. There are baby sharks constantly swimming under the bungalows. The best coral reef just 2 minute walk on the soul scuba jetty. There is a 30minute hike to the beautiful viewpoint, almost better then pyaniemo.
The only thing I would change are the mosquito nets. I would put the one which makes a square around the bed.
Otherwise, if we come back we will for sure choose yenbuba homestay!

  • The Yenbuba is located at the northwestern tip in the best location of Kri. the bungalows are very comfortable. We had one of the beachfront bungalows with a bathroom in the room. the location is perfect. wonderful house reef and the nearby sandbank are super beautiful. the food was good and plentiful. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Yenbuba is highly recommended for us. we were there from November 17th. – 11/20/2024 there. Best regards Rosmarie and Ernst.

  • We really loved the diving which we did with the homestay’s scuba centre. It was great value and amazing experience.

Homestay has everything which was needed for comfortable stay, a nice surprise was a freshwater shower just in front of our bungalow so we could have a quick rinse from salt after swim.

Place also have a very nice reef in front and access to yeti from which sunset is just amazing.

  • Our stay was incredible! The bungalows are comfortable and very large.

A big thank you to the staff, who took great care and allowed us to be very flexible.

We were able to dive every day, even at night with the homestay, which was a real plus.

The food was top-notch, and the snorkeling was incredible down below the bungalow.

    Thanks for everything

  • Can’t even start to describe how amazing the stay is. The staff is top-notch. They care for everything you need and want!
The rooms are clean and spacious, and the bed is comfortable! There’s also a shower outside the room that you can enjoy while watching the amazing view outside.
The terrace is so amazing, and it’s always so quiet here! The generators are quite far so you don’t hear them very much.
The food is super great, changes every day, and you have a lot of it!
Rocky and Abi speak English so ,easy to communicate. They’re also super nice and interesting people. Also, before arriving at the homestay, Rocky answers super quick, and it makes it so much more comfortable.

    Food is amazing and varied!

They try to recycle which is good.

The only down sides I see is that there is burning of garbage and the smell is really bad and the other thing is that during the night, the generators are off and it could get really hot and hard to sleep.

These wouldnt change that I would definitely want to go back!!
Thank you all for an amazing stay and I hope to see you again!

  • Solo traveller, I stayed 9 nights at Yenbuba in October. I was a bit worried about the rats as reported in previous reviews, but not bringing any foods in my room and putting all my creams, shampoo, etc.. in the plastic bin provided was enough to not have any problem. The bathrooms were clean, when the electricity is on it’s possible to do a hot shower and use wifi. Payments by card are possible for snorkeling/diving tours, cash only for the transfers. On my mobile phone I had a nomad esim card using telkomsel as a network and the signal was good overall. Staying at Yenbuba as a solo traveller was a great choice, there are a lot of people coming and going, so it’s possible to join and share diving/snorkeling tours. Rocky is a very friendly host. Definitely recommend it.

  • We stayed 4 nights at Yenbuba.
    Pros:
-Beautiful coral where you can snorkel, starting around 20 meters from the bungalows
-The food was good and we never felt that it wasn’t enough. Also it was always on time.
-All the staff spoke decent english
-Every bungalow had a fresh water shower

    Cons:
-We had to switch bungalows 2 times because of bedbugs and we had that problem in every room. We also noticed that other guests had bites so we assume almost every bungalow has this problem. Even worse, when we complained about this, they only put the mattresses outside for one hour or two, which obviously didn’t work out for the next guests.
-The bathroom rarely has enough water to flush

    • Eek! Did you or any of the other guests actually see bedbugs Mariana? Only asking because yours is the first report of this at Yenbuba, and, for all the previous reports of bedbugs at Kri homestays that we have been able to investigate, no bedbugs were found. There were, however, plenty of sandflies about. Sandflies are most active in the evening, and, for most people, sandfly bites are imperceptible until they begin to itch, which is usually hours after being bitten. (Naturally, if woken by bites that begin itching in the middle of the night, “Bedbugs!” is a common assumption.)

  • I like my time there. I have spent a lot of time in Indonesia so I don’t have high expectations when I stay in a Homestay. The food was good, standard, Indonesian fare-rice, fish, veggies, and fruit. My bungalow was fine. Clean, and in good condition. The toilets and showers were clean. Diving was organized and timely. And the staff were friendly and helpful.

Drop any preconceptions you may have and realize that you are in a very remote part of the world. Things are not like where you are from. Be flexible and your holiday will be the smoother for it.

  • Roky, the manager of YENBUBA is very friendly and helpful. The homestay is overall very nice, the bathrooms are modern, and there is running and hot water (a rarity in raja ampat)
The common area is spacious and clean. Wi-Fi and electricity are almost always available. Food is plentiful and varied, and there is always hot water for tea and coffee and bread and jam/chocolate throughout the day.
You can dive directly with the diving center in Yenbuba and the instructor Asrul is very good and friendly.
The reef near the homestay is among the most beautiful in raja ampat.

Only negative note the bungalow is practically empty, a table and some furniture would be great to improve the stay.

    I 100% recommend this homestay !

  • We stayed at Yenbuba homestay 4 nights from august 18 2024. We had a really lovely stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always helpful and up for a good talk.
The food was really good especially lunch and dinner. Nice to try real homemade Indonesian food! The bungalows were simple and clean although they forgot to empty the bin from the guests before. There is an outdoor shower at the bungalow which was really nice! We saw baby sharks, barracudas and much more from our bungalow, this was really amazing!
The house reef was really nice for snorkelig. We saw both reef sharks, turtles, colorful corals and a wide variety of fish. We went scuba diving with DM Asrul and we had some amazing dives – really happy about how he guided us and we felt safe during the dives. We are both advanced divers. It was our first time to use reef hooks – really cool.
Overall, a truly wonderful experience. We highly recommend to stay at Yenbuba homestay while visiting amazing Raja Ampat.

  • We had an amazing stay at this homestay in Kri. Rocky and Rahdid (sorry if we not spelled correctly) were incredibly friendly, always helpful and speak a perfect english, making us feel right at home. The food was delicious, and the warm shower was a great plus. The bungalows were simple but perfectly suited to our needs. The house reef for snorkeling was fantastic—you can see beautiful corals, sharks, turtles, and a wide variety of fish. The jungle trail to the viewpoint is an adventure in itself, offering sightings of animals like the cuscus. The view from the top is breathtaking. Overall, a wonderful experience and a definite recommendation!

  • We had some amazing days at Yenbuba. The bungalows are beautiful and clean, the bathrooms and showers are well maintained and also clean. The food was delicious. Roky (the manager) is a very nice and funny guy who is always there for you and helps whenever you ask him to.
The dive equipment from the homestay is better then the one of most dive centers and Roky is great guide.

  • Wow, the most incredible experience. Yenbuba was the absolute best homestay, I almost want to keep it a complete secret. The location is extremely convenient, especially if you don’t have long in Raja Ampat, and want to minimise your travel time and maximise your excursion/dive time. The bungalows are spacious – comfortable beds, fan, windows – really everything you need. I wasn’t expecting much from the food, but was very pleasantly surprised. We had incredible food every day – fresh and generous servings of vegetables, fish, rice, noodles, chicken, curry, etc. And snacks were always available too so we were never hungry (and properly fueled for our dives). The divecentre was amazing, Asool was the most incredible dive guide. A friend for life. Cares so deeply about the reef and showing you an unforgettable experience. Rocky and the whole time at Yenbuba made our time at Raja Ampat truly special. Everything was looked after. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

  • Based on the many positive reviews, we decided to book 8D/7N here.
It may well be that this homestay is one of the best compared to other homestays in RajaAmpat. However, we are disappointed.
    On the positive side:
Underwater, the world is still in order here. We have never seen such biodiversity and the abundance of fish and corals anywhere else in the world.
The homestay is right next to the Soul Divers diving center. SoulDivers is an absolutely first-class diving center. Well organized, high safety standards. TOP
If SoulDiver’s capacities are exhausted, you can also dive with YenbubaHomestay at the same conditions.
Roky, the manager, is very keen to fulfill your special requests, e.g. laundry service.
Every effort is made to clear the beach of garbage every day. The garbage is either buried on the beach (which is of course very short-sighted) or taken to one of the many garbage piles on the island.
The communal toilets and showers are very clean and are cleaned daily. There are hot water showers J
    negative:
The piles of garbage naturally attract rats. You will definitely meet the rats if you go to the toilet at night. Otherwise, you only have the opportunity to hear them, namely when they wander through your bungalow at night looking for something edible.
Unfortunately, we were not informed about this in Roky’s briefing. Fortunately, we read about it in the comments on other homestays before the trip and were forewarned.
Supposedly, each bungalow has a plastic box in which the food is supposed to be kept safe from the rats. We only found out about this by chance on the last day, and Roky apologized for the fact that this box was missing in our bungalow. Had he done a detailed briefing with us, the absence of the box would have been noticed when we arrived.
We booked one of the two beach bungalows because they have their own private bathroom + WC. This is an extension behind the bungalow, which has a washbasin, a cold shower and a WC.
The washbasin consists of half a giant shell that has turned green and looks very unappetizing and unhygienic. The shelf around the washbasin, made of bamboo, has never been cleaned, just like the washbasin. The bird poop certainly looked quite old.
The toilet had obviously never been cleaned either. Simply disgusting.
A few drops of cold water came out of the shower. But that’s acceptable, we’re not staying at the Interconti after all.
You should put earplugs in to sleep as there is a generator running nearby all night. During the day, of course, there are several generators running nearby. The electricity has to come from somewhere.
In my opinion, the food has nothing to do with Indonesian cuisine. It’s the same thing every other day. You can choose between pieces of chicken and fish. As I said, something different is prepared every other day. The side dishes are either spinach vegetables or green bean vegetables. Rice is always served. For dessert, there is watermelon, watermelon or watermelon EVERY DAY, LUNCH AND DINNER.
There is a water dispenser based on a water gallon in the “restaurant bungalow” as a source of drinking water. You can draw as much water as you need from there. You can also fill up your private bottles as often as you like. However, I doubt whether these water gallons are replaced every time with new, unsealed gallons.
Of the 8 days I was there, I had gastrointestinal problems on 6 days combined with a high temperature. I blame this on the hygienic conditions, which can definitely be described as borderline. Roky did get a local medicine for me several times, which consisted of a bitter drink brewed from freshly collected herbs/leaves/plants. But unfortunately it didn’t really help.
I was only able to complete 3 of the 6 pre-booked dives. SoulDiver is very accommodating in this respect. I only had to pay for what I used. So even the tour to Pianemo, which I couldn’t do, was not charged.
Conclusion: If we ever come to RajaAmpat again, we will book one of the few high-priced, more comfortable homestays/hotels. In any case, this one did not meet our expectations.

  • Yenbuba Homestay is the best place! I just spend 1 month in Raja Ampat, 3 islands, 4 homestas, and this was my absolute favorite. Ended up staying almost 3 weeks here. The people working here are incredible, the food is great and in abundance, the location is the best and the huts are amazing. I loved the simplicity in the islands, although this place is better overall. I planned to dive with Souls Scuba, but they were full and ended up diving with Yenbubas own dive school. REALLY good Dive instructors and brand new equipment. I’m coming back again!

Zaza

  • Yenbuba is a very special home stay. The location is gorgeous – especially at sunset. Terrific snorkeling at the house reef. Rocky, who runs Yenbuba is wonderful. He will quickly take care of anything you need. Very knowledgeable about everything Indonesian & diving. He has many great stories that he shares during meals. The Soul Dive Shop is on site making it easy to get dives & to work with the stafff to get to any particular dive or snorkel site. I was there in Dec 2023. I came back in June 2024.

  • This was probably the fanciest homestay we stayed in in Raja Ampat (especially toilet wise). Also the only homestay that served more than just fruit for breakfast. The reef is great off the jetty.
The only thing I have to say is we’ve never met the owner or anyone who could speak any English – only the people who’d bring and clear the food. It would have been great to have the chance to chat about the island and any available tours.

  • Fantastic! The best homestay on Kri and best place I stayed in Raja Ampat! I stayed here twice for more than a week and also stayed at Yenkoranu, Iko, Kayafyof (Arborek), Yapap (Misool), Napoleon Sawandarek (Mansuar) and visited several other homestays (Turtle, Junior, both on Kri) over 4 weeks. Roky, who runs Yenbuba, is fantastic – kind, helpful, and gets things done. He can arrange trips, transfers, lunch to go, etc.. Best food of all the homestays I stayed at by far: plentiful and available for several hours around meal times. If food runs out, they make more. They provide several options for each meal, and breakfast usually included eggs in some form (crepes, omelette, scrambled) as well as toast and fruit. Bungalows are very nice and most are overwater; VIP bungalows have individual showers. Water is fresh (not briny) and plentiful. Electricity is on much of the day. Bathrooms were newly tiled kept very clean and had hot water showers. House reef is good and reef just around the corner towards Yenbuba village is also great. Hike to two overlooks was great. Homestay is centrally located so easy to get to many nearby dive spots. You can dive with Soul Scuba (but make reservations ahead of time as they get booked up). Cell phone reception was decent and some wifi was available near the office (or near Soul Scuba). I strongly recommend this place!

  • Nice huts over the water. Very good to have a shower just outside the hut for rinsing off. Shared showers and toilet kept relatively clean. Food was varied. Great location for diving with soul scuba

  • Had a very 5 day stay at Yenbuba in March of 2024. Accommodation is very adequate and will be even better as the new hot showers were just opening as we were leaving!!! Rocki speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable and helpful. Even when we moved to another Homestay he made it possible to join in a day tour on Sunday with his group. Wifi was very good and diving right there with Soul diving. The food a little repetitive and average. Thanks for wonderfull time!!!!

  • Yenbuba Homestay is a wonderful place with well equipped bungalows , delicious food and a clean surrounding. Roky is doing everything possible to make your stay wonderful and unique. The helpers in the background are very nice local people. A big thank you that you made my stay so fantastic. I will be back soon.

    • Thanks Silvia. Can’t wait to have you back here. Best regards from all of our team

  • Yenbuba was a great place to stay and the VIP Bungalows with out ensuite bathroom have at least a nice outdoor shower. (But you can’t use soap there)
The bed is very comfortable and you have a nice terrace with hammock.
Unfortunately the shared toilets and shower are not enough for all the guests, especially because all the people from Soul Scuba Diver are using the same. (But they are currently building 3 new toilets and 2 new showers.)
The food was always enough and they made sure to bring more if people came later because of diving. Also the variety of food was good and we always had enough vegetables.

Roki the manager was friendly and very helpful.
He speaks perfect english and can help you with almost anything, I guess.

If you are looking to dive with Soul Scuba Diver, make sure you book at least one or two month in advanced, because they are separate from Yenbuba Homestay and mostly fully booked.

This place it’s close to a lot of things. You can snorkel directly from the jetty and by low tide you can walk over the sandbank to the village across the next island.
Behind Yenbuba Homestay is a path that leads you to the other side of the island in only 10 min.

I enjoyed my stay and I would recommend this place to anyone.

  • Yenbuba homestay accomidation is safe, clean and very comfortable, the view from the bungalows is great and the baby sharks everymorning were incredible. There is a really happy and easy going atmosphere among staff and guests. Roki is really welcoming and helpful. The food was really good. The house reef is amazing for snorkeling. Soul Scuba were not very accommodating and a lot of people who paid deposits are left a few days waiting to dive from over booking. We dived with Tarzan diving, they pick up and drop off or Roki organises a boat . They were really safe and organised and have a new boat and new equipment. I would recommend Yenbuba to anyone looking for great snorkeling in a relaxed happy environment.

  • Best stay in Raja Ampat, thanks to the always laughing, friendly and highly competent manager Roki and team. Some of the accommodations are even better and newer than on the pictures here. We returned as we felt part of the family soon. Great community.

Attention: The dive school next door is separate and not offering you dives if you do not book month in advance. In 8 days we have not had a single dive there and had to change island which took extra money every day. Still Roki was very helpful on this. But better be aware of it.

  • Really enjoyed my stay at yenbuna, from the bungalow you spot baby sharks right in front of you plenty of times. Food is basic but really nice, also for vegetarians. Rocky is a great manager and takes really good care of you.

I will be back for sure!

  • I stayed at Yenbuba Homestay10 nights in Dec of 2023. If you want a fancy resort with all the luxuries of them, Yenbuba is not for you. If you want great diving and a real local Indonesian experience, then this is it. Yes, I heard rats in the rafters, but what little food I had (gum) I kept in the plastic bin and never saw a rat or a roach. I stayed in one of the beach bungalows that had it’s own bathroom. Halfway through my stay I thought about moving to one of the over the water bungalow – they have absolutely beautiful views – but stayed on the beach because I did like having my own bathroom and decided I liked hearing the village sounds around me. Especially the soft guitar and singing that went on most evenings. The food isn’t fancy. It’s what the locals fix for themselves and was good, plenty and on time. Rocky, the manager is the best! Extremely helpful, friendly, funny and told great stories during meals. He is working hard at fixing the place up. When I told him my fan didn’t work well, he bought a new one. When a number of guests stubbed their toes on a bench in the dining room, he had it traded out for one that didn’t stick out so much. He has been a local Dive Master too so he can tell you about all the dive sites. Honestly my first impression was “What did I get myself into here?”. This may be a bit too “rustic”. My mind was quickly changed. Indonesia is an incredible country with incredible people. Loved my stay at Yenbuba!

  • We stayed 7 nights in one of the ‘VIP’ land bungalows with an en-suite bathroom. It was absolutely authentic, welcoming and warm hospitality. So convenient to Sould Scuba. Although super simple the room was comfortable, the toilet and shower more than adequate and nicely private. The food was tasty and plentiful. They even did a load of laundry for us. It was great meeting new friends. Roki very helpful, kind and fun to talk with. It was a great homestay.

  • My stay at Yenbuba Homestay on Kri Island was nothing short of magical. The experience was a perfect blend of amazing diving opportunities and being enveloped by the untamed beauty of nature.

While lacking Western comforts, this homestay offers something far more profound – a deep connection with nature. Living amidst such raw surroundings was a soul-stirring experience, a refreshing departure from the usual. The absence of modern amenities was compensated by the sheer beauty of the environment, making it an ideal retreat for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a truly authentic experience.

The dives were exceptional, revealing an underwater world teeming with life and wonder. The opportunity to be so close to nature, both above and below the surface, was simply breathtaking.

In essence, Yenbuba Homestay provided not just a place to rest but an immersion into the soul of Kri Island, an experience that resonates deeply within, leaving lasting memories of nature’s unparalleled beauty.

  • Best homestay for scuba diving, right next to soul scuba divers! We spent 9 nights in one of the new overwater bungalows at yenbuba homestay. It was absolutely perfect. The room was very clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed, fan, mosquito net, power sockets. The veranda has a great sunset view with sunbeds and hammocks and you can watch baby sharks swim under the bungalow in the evening! The new manager Rocki does an excellent job. He always makes sure you have everything you need and if there is any problem he will solve it. You can ask him anything, his English is very good. He always made sure that everyone got enough food, even if we came two hours late from a night dive. The food was very good and varied, with fresh fish, meat, different vegetables, fresh fruits and rice. The shared toilet and shower are clean. Our bungalows had its own open shower at the entrance for rinsing saltwater. Rocki advised us that there are rats on the island and provided us plastic boxes to put food and cosmetics inside. We did this and had no rats in our room during the stay.

  • This place is amazing! If I could give 10 stars I would do it. The bad reviews are completely wrong.
The food is varied and delicious. It was on time and there was always fresh fruit. They prepare a nice lunchbox for you if you go on a day trip.
The bungalow is completely fine. I stayed in a bungalow on the beach with a proper private bathroom. I haven’t seen a single rat. At the start of my stay I was given a plastic box to store food in.
Everyone on this island is very friendly and helpful. I would like to give a special shout out to Rocki. He is a wonderful person who arranges everything for you and is always available. He’s English is very good and he is funny.
You immediately feel at home in Yenbuba homestay. I’ll definitely return! To anyone who has doubts: don’t! Book your stay and have the time of your life in this paradise.

  • I stayed with Yenbuba recently for one week. First impression was not great, they had messed up my booking and tried to move me to another homestay, which was a downgrade, for the first night. I was able to get it sorted but after discussing with others found out they had messed up most peoples bookings who had booked to stay in the VIP bungalows. The rooms are as advertised, and in fact, got upgraded window coverings and a new door whilst i was there.
The rats were present as other people mentioned, i had no food in my room either. Twice they jumped on the bed and once i was bitten on the finger. I was advised by other guests to tuck in the mosquito netting which helped. It seems the rats are a yenbuba problem as other neighbouring homestay guests reported no issues.
The food was hit and miss, some mornings there was only cake or a loaf of bread for breakfast, other mornings there was fruit and pancakes. Lunches and dinners were much better with a variety of fish, chicken, eggs, noodles, rice, vegetables and tempeh. Other guests who had stayed elsewhere reported that the food was good here compared to other islands. The lunch packs we received on dive day trips were excellent, i could not fault them. Bathroom was good with a freshwater bamboo shower and western toilet. Despite the limitations, the diving here makes it all worthwhile, i would come back again without hesitation, as many people do.

  • We stayed at Yenbuba for 6 nights. Was clearly not enough! We enjoyed the food, the location, the disponibility of the staff. They were very dedicated ; they pick up me on my diving boat to bring us back to wasai on my last day so I can enjoy two More dives!!!! The toilet and shower probably can be improve but it’s part of the experience!

  • I usually do not leave reviews, but I think it is important as so many of the previous reviews of Yenbuba are negative and I think it’s important to counter those as I had the best 10 days of my life while at the Yenbuba Homestay.

When I arrived in Waisai I was picked up by Yenbuba Homestay promptly and taken to Kri. Upon arrival, I was greeted and shown to my overwater room. Every day we were served delicious meals with hardly any repetition and always amazing flavor ranging from fried bananas for breakfast to eggplant, tempeh, or chicken curries for lunch and dinner. We always had tea, coffee, water and fruit available in the dining room. They ask that you do not have any food in your room, I complied and had no issues with rodents other than the occasional friendly gecko.

I ended up extending my trip from 8 days to 10 which was no problem. Yenbuba arranged to take me back to Waisai on my schedule and were kind and lovely every step of the way.

The accommodations are basic yes, but I enjoyed the simplicity and easygoing way of life.

I will be back <3 Thank you for everything!

  • Our stay was disappointing. many rats that bit our backpacks even without food in the room. The breakfast was not very healthy. No cold drinks, only water, coffee and tea. Fortunately, internet can be obtained through the adjacent diving school. Very high prices for trips compared to neighboring Homestay.

  • Amazing place to stay! You’re literally 1min walk from the dive center. The food is delicious, the bungalows are spacious and beautifully located. The shower and toilet are well maintained and clean. In the end of the jetty, you can find the most amazing spot of snorkeling, we saw countless of fish from the moment we jumped in the water. We also saw turtles and a shark. We highly recommend.

I stayed in one of the new huts and it was very comfortable and cooled off nicely at night. I found the food to be very good, one night Joshua barbequed 2 Fresh Tuna with Sambal it was Awesome!

    Stayed 1/8 through 1/12 2023

  • The VIP bungalow (private bathroom) is too noisy (the generator is close by at night, and there’sa lot of activity around during the day), which made it hard to get some rest.
    I could hardly recommend it.

  • We arrived in Yenbuba on 3 January to find that our room, with ensuite bathroom was not available. This was despite me WhatsApping Joshua through the booking process and sharing our stay raja itinerary with him. I also messaged him with our arrival plans two days before. After two long dives and no lunch I can honestly say I was pretty angry and upset, but the lovely Annie from soul scuba got on the phone searching for accommodation for us and also organised for yenbuba to make us lunch. Joshua then told us the lunch wasn’t for us, I was so angry and all he could say was it was fine as they had refunded us… However it turned out so well in the end, as after a few stressful hours, we managed to get a place at the wonderful Turtle homestay. At Turtle we have ensuite bathrooms, the food is plentiful and fantastic, it’s very chilled and the lovely Nelly takes great care of us. They have a fast boat for transfers and we still got to dive with soul scuba. Everyday on the dive boat we heard the sob stories from Yenbuba concerning lack of food, messed up bookings and leaking roofs. Joshua did finally apologise and took us to get provisions before dropping us at Turtle. I have also found very friendly people at the homestay the other side of soul divers but so far cannot fault Turtle homestay. Seriously do not book this place until they get organised.

  • Dear all,

My brother and me were blissfully happy to visit one of our dream places in the world. However, and unfortunately, the stay in Yenbuba Homestay jeopardised consistently our holidays when in their facilities. I’ll try to be as brief and concise as possible so you all can understand my experience at a daily basis:

    – Overbooking and transfer shock in day 1 and 2

These guys left us more than two hours waiting in Waisai harbour because the manager had to do some errands in the village. Then when we arrived to Yenbuba Home Stay, we found out that they also do OVERBOOKING so me and my brother could not stay in the double bungalows we booked more than 6 months in advance. We were moved into NUS Home Stay during TWO days and despite the bungalows were correct, the standard was way lower than the ones we booked originally. Basically I don’t know if and how Yenbuba will pay NUS, but the bungalows we paid were more expensive than the ones we got in NUS. However, the good side was that we got to know a much nicer home stay (i.e NUS), that I fully recommend: the manager was lovely and contrarily to Yenbuba Home Stay, they speak very good English.

    – Back to Yenbuba Home Stay in day 3, but still not in a double bungalow:

The first day we moved to Yenbuba Home Stay, my brother and me could not stay together in the same double bungalow because all three were still fully booked. Then, in an attempt to compensate their booking mismanagement, we got two separate bungalows which was the least they could do. Hereafter, although a bit disappointed as we were not together in the same double bungalow we accepted the only scenario we were proposed.

    – flooding in day 4:

After one day in Yenbuba Home Stay, my brother’s bungalow (and some others), were flooded during a typical storm during the night. Roof leaking all over the place and my brother had to end up his night in an “S shape” trying to lay over the few dry parts of the mattress.

    – Rats in day 5-6:

During the night I started noticing some noises in the room, but I did not know that they were due to rats. Usually you see these beloved rodents in the cantina because in Yenbuba they leave dishes with food leftovers over the table way too long. I guess it is because the manager (Y_ _ _ _ A) was not very efficient, and rats were all over the place. How right is the saying “when the cat is not at home, the mice dance over the table” and it is exactly what happened during our stay, the manager was not solving problems efficiently and deception just kept on rising.

    – day 7: rats decided to move into my mattress

After hearing some weird noises during the previous night, I eventually realised that I had rats into my mattress. I literally felt vibrations in my back when rats were moving within the springs. The noises I heard in first instance came from these animals making two holes in the mattress (way in/way out) and eventually, once they were installed, their nails rubbing the springs of the mattress could be clearly distinguished…

Day 8: night in the hammock as nobody helped me

I had to take my mattress out of the cabin and set up a hammock to get a decent sleep. Previously (around 18:30), I had asked the manager for a solution after an entire day out diving, and he told me “I don’t know what to do, now is dinner time so let’s talk later on after dinner”. Silly me I believed his words but I did not see him until next day in the evening, very respectful isn’t it?

Day 9: I woke up, carried and deployed the mattress by the door of the manager’s office and I left for a day trip. When back at 17:00 the mattress was still in the same location and it was not until 20:00 that I got another mattress into my room. Eventually, I had a pleasant sleep without the company of my beloved rodents.

The rest of my and my brother’s stay was correct. All this said I understand the difficulties that our Indonesian brothers are suffering after couple of years without tourism due to COVID. However since I noticed that other local home stays are doing grand, I guess they could do the same as they are in the same situation. Therefore, I suggest hands on to improve the management and meet again a certain standard that me and other tourists demand. Honestly, we don’t expect much: we are aware of where we are when we go to Raja Ampat. To conclude, major issues to be addressed were detected in Yenbuba Home Stay as for instance:

    – overbooking issues
    – low maintenance of the facilities
    – bathrooms looking dirty
    – small food portions affecting breakfast, lunch and dinner
    – dogs a bit to much aggressive with customers in the common living room due to food leftovers
    – rats in the common living room
    – scarce hot water availability for tee or coffee out of meals schedules
    – uncertainty until the last moment with boat transfers

Hopefully this review will help Yenyuba Home Stay to bounce back and be one of the best Home Stays of Kri island.

    Regards,

    • Hello,Mr.David. ..!
I apologize for everything happened. We are going to reorganize everything in yenbuba homestay to be better.
Thank you for your comment 🙏

  • We arrived to Yenbuba on the 29th of December excited to spend our last week on Kri but unfortunately it started off poor and only got worse. The bungalow we booked and paid for (In may) was fully booked, so they put is in another bungalow that had open windows and holes in the roof. It rained most nights and our belongings were soaked. The general manager Joshua was apathetic and didn’t really seem to care or show interest in rectifing these issues. We were not the only ones with this issue. Food was often lacking, breakfast was literally only a piece of bread or cake, the bathrooms were never clean and didnt have soap to wash hands, one gentleman had rats in his mattress, and then our boat to transfer us back to Wasai was late forcing us to find an alternative solution. It was very nice and convenient to have Soul Scuba next door but my suggestion is to stay at Nus Homestay next door. Seemed much better and the manager was lovely. All in all, we would not recommend this place until things are better up to par. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise really lovely trip.

  • Came to Yenbuba homestay, Jan 2nd, and very disappointed after was told that my chosen paid and 2 months reserved bungalow was not available. They recommended an older one. We had no choice but to agree because we were tired from traveling. Later we found out that a large group were begging to take the one we had agreed. Without a resolution, this large group rush to bring the luggage’s into the bungalow. So we were again was asked to another location which is the least desirable. We also have to skip dinner because there was not enough food. We found out that this is a common occurrence (daily). We saw this happen to a couple the next day. Homestay owners, you can do this strategy to earn more money but you will eventually loose. Not a good business practice. If your bungalows are full, a courtesy of contacting your client is a must. Not recommending this place at all.

    • So sorry that your stay was marred by this disappointing lack of courtesy and professionalism, David, and thank you for taking the time to warn others. This practice is completely unacceptable, and, until Yenbuba has addressed it, Stay Raja Ampat will not be accepting bookings for the homestay. Stay Raja Ampat guarantees all bookings. If guests do not get the room they paid for, we will either find and arrange transport to equivalent alternate accommodation, or we will refund in full. We hope your time on Kri was otherwise enjoyable.

  • We stayed with Yenbuba Homestay for seven nights. Having Soul Scuba next to the Homestay is really the only reason I would recommend Yenbuba Homestay. We stayed at many Homestay’s in Raja Ampat and have found Yenbuba is currently lacking that little bit extra that a lot of other Homestay’s are offering. The overwater bungalows are spacious, have a fan and mosquito net. The food was tasty and fresh. The shared bathrooms are however in need of repair. One broken (cut off) shower head for up to eight bungalows, two toilets, the one Western toilet seat is still broken.. and really the whole bathroom area needs a good clean.
The team at Soul Scuba, in particularly the owner Thibault are fantastic, offering safe and organized diving trips to all the best dive sites around Kri. Thibault is passionate about all things Marine, providing education to all divers to ensure you have a fantastic experience. He accommodated all levels of divers and organizes groups appropriately. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For Soul Scuba.

  • We stayed at Yenbuba at the same time at Steve Belkin. His comments and summary are right on the money. Definitely a huge plus was having Thibault and Soul Scuba divers right there, about 20 ft from the dining hall.

We took our equipment over to Soul Scuba the first day and never had to handle it again, doing 72 dives (36 each) over 13 days. The diving was absolutely fabulous and work the effort to get there.

As Steve said, it would have been nice to have had some interaction with the family running the homestay. They could have done a few things to make the place nicer, like fixing the shower so water actually came from overhead and replacing western toilet seat that was cracked.

If you think of it being a camping trip you’ll be in the right frame of mind.

  • Because I ended up staying at three different homestay while on Kri Island, I have some basis of comparison to share.

The bungalows are actually accurately described on this website- they were clean, spacious, a good value for the money.

The breakfast was very basic, considering the energy I would have liked to have consumed before a long day of diving. But, apparently almost all of the homestays deemphasize the breakfast meal.

The lunch served on our full day diving trip was tasty and fresh. The dinners were also more than sufficient- usually a chicken or fish with veggies and steamed rice. Surprisingly, no dessert.

There are no en suite bathrooms, which they are clear about. I personally didn’t mind the sharing situation, but 2 toilets and 1 shower for 9 bungalows and maybe up to 18 people when they are at capacity, could be less than optimal. I traveled solo and only 4 of the bungalows were in use, but I’m pretty sure if they were sold out, my wife would not last more than 1 night without a private bathroom…..so keep the matter in mind when you are deciding on Yenbuba. Other homestay with private bathrooms were only a few dollars more.

Having dive shop on the premises is nice convenience, especially since the owner of Soul Divers, is kind of the unofficial representative of the homestay, as he is so proficient in English and French. Thibo was incredibly organized and professional with the dive operations and he was always helpful in arranging non-dive logistics like transport to and from the Waisei ferry and transport to another nearby homestay. The equipment is in excellent condition, the divemasters are safety conscious and speak serviceable English. And they do a good job of splitting groups according to ability.

More of an observation nation that a critique- I recognize the the owner of these homestays have other responsibilities and they can’t be on-call concierges for the guests. But, I did miss having any contact whatsoever with any of the local staff. It would have been nice to be able to compliment the chef for the delicious meals or thank the housekeeper for the clean room and public areas. I feel like their presence, however brief each day, would have put the HOME in homestay.

    Overall, I enjoyed my stay

  • We had an amazing stay at Yenbuba homestay. The bungalows are basic but clean and the view is incredible. The owner and the diving staff were very helpful and professional. We didnt dive for some years but Roki patiently explained us everything we needed to know to feel comfortable under water. The dive spots they took us were very beautiful as well.
We would definitely recommend this place!

  • Not a review, instead a question- Are your trip prices above accurate such as 1,000,000 idr for Gam, it says it will be shared between participants, will it still go ahead if there is just 1 person but they are willing to pay the full 1,000,000 idr?

    • Hi Charlotte

Yes, it is a price per trip, so if a solo traveller is willing to pay it, then the trip will go. Yenbuba has not asked to update their trip price table, so we can only assume that the prices are still accurate.

  • Amazing location especially the 3 new bungalows. Rooms are clean. Very good food. Soul scuba diver just beside manage everything for the family and it’s very helpful. Only 1 shower for 6 bungalows which is not enough. Need a new one asap. Also need more toilet and improve cleanliness. New bungalows in construction around, the area is becoming crowded…

  • I stayed at Yenbuba for 10 nights, including Christmas and New Years day. I was very comfortable. The bungalows are roomy, towels were provided, electricity was reliable from 6:30pm until after midnight, the beds were comfortable and mosquito nets were in good condition. There is an actual shower that squirts on your head, not just a bucket, and bathrooms and toilet are always clean, as are the grounds. The food was delicious and plentiful every day. There was always more than enough to go around, and dishes were varied enough that you wouldn’t see the same exact thing until a few meals later. (But I could have eaten their stir-fried eggplant 24/7!) There was always a good amount of fruit at lunch and dinner. Breakfast was typical of most homestays and consisted of fried bananas or cake-like things. There was always plentiful drinking water, both hot and room temperature. The bungalows themselves are large, but spaced close together. It can get a little crowded feeling if the place is 100% booked, but fellow guests were always respectful and quiet. (There are currently more bungalows than what is listed on this site, I think now 8 overwater). It mostly felt like we were a little community out on our jetties. I did see one rat scurrying in my cottage rafters, but it wasn’t an issue for me since I stored no food in my room. The family who owns and runs the homestay are lovely and full of smiles. I would absolutely stay there again if/when I return.

Soul Scuba Divers are a fantastic dive operator that partners with the homestay, and were the main reason I chose this homestay since I came to dive. They are some of the most hospitable, helpful, and patient people you will ever meet, and they run a great dive shop.

Snorkeling is great in the immediate area. The tides and currents make things variable, but they are easy to learn after a couple days. For me, the prettiest reef was the on the south side of little Ransiwor island (go at high tide or else the swim is too shallow), but the drop-off directly in front of Yenbuba is also very good. Lots of beautiful clams and always a shark or three!

  • Yenbuba homestay is amazing!

The food is really really good (this is very important as there is no restaurant on the island), and the bungalow is spacious and clean.

The biggest advantage is Soul Scuba Divers! They are amazing, professional, trustworthy, and friendly. Langue is definitely not an issue if you stay here and dive with them!

  • I stayed at Yenbuba homestay for 2.5 weeks in October and had an incredible experience, I really never wanted to leave! All the other homestays I stayed at in Raja were also great, but when I come back (hopefully next year) Yenbuba will be at the top of my list because this is where I felt most at home and the people were all amazing.

As other people have mentioned, one of the great advantages that Yenbuba has is that they have partnered with Soul Scuba Divers, which is run by lovely Carrie and Thibault. This means that the language barrier is not an issue here, as the couple speaks perfect English. They help the local family organize the homestay and manage guests, while also doing some inspiring community work at Yenbuba village.

The locals who own and work at Yenbuba homestay were all incredibly welcoming and treated me very nicely. The food was great and had the largest variation that I saw in the 3 homestays I stayed at. The bungalows are very nice and comfortable, with real beds, tables, chairs, clothes rack and hammocks on the balcony, facing the beautiful sunset. If you can, ask for the new bungalows that were just finished a couple of weeks ago, they looked amazing.

Yenbuba homestay is specially suitable for divers and snorkellers, as they are the home of the excellent and very professional Soul Scuba Divers shop, and are also located next to the best snorkelling spots (Yenbuba jetty and the reef in front of Yenkhoranu’s homestay). I can’t wait to come back to this paradise!

  • I stay here for 4 weeks.
    Everything is perfect for me.
The bungalows are nice and clean
and with one of the best sunsets on the island.
    Amazing.
They builded three new bungalows on the water, now they have 7 on the water.
    The food was delicious.
    The dive center
Soul scuba divers was one of the best dive centers I had ever seen.
Tibo and Carrie make a perfect Job. 150%
    With two new speed boats.
Also so they do a lot for the locals.
    Teaching in school.
    Cleaning the beaches
    Fantasic.
All of my dives at 25 different dive sites, they have 40
    and adenventure tours was incredible.
Wayak, pianemo, bantanta waterfall, gam passage
    The stuff friendly, helpful
I don’t want to leave but for sure I come next year back.

  • We decided to move from Byuk Beya homestay to Yenbuba in order to be closer to the good snorkeling spots and we weren’t disappointed.
The cabans on the sea are spacious with a veranda and a hammock to enjoy the amazing view. Sunsets are the best.
As they don’t speak English, they benefit from the help of the persons managing the scuba diving club next door (Soul Scuba divers) and they are super nice! They can help you with any question regarding the homestay or any activity.
They are building 3 new cabans on the water which look amazing!
The food is served as a buffet in the “restaurant” area and it’s really good compared to other homestays. It was different every day and plenty of dishes.
The shower and toilets are very clean.
    We will definitely come back!

  • Me and my 15-year-old son stayed only 3 nights here in August, and we had the best time. We came from Friwen island and I only wish we could have stayed ( a lot) longer
We had one of the overwater bungalows which was nice, big enough for the 2 of us and clean. Yes, we did have a resident rat running in and out of the bungalow during the night, but after the first night honestly, we couldn’t care less 🙂
I guess you have to accept this as part of the package on Kri. Just make sure you really don’t have anything edible in the room and that’s it. They are not after you. As soon as we arrived Carrie from neighboring Soul Scuba diver warned us about this and offered to store our food (we only had some chocolate bars and snacks I think) safely for us.
This west end of the island is particularly beautiful with the daily changes of high and low tide creating a natural “path” to Mansuar.
Snorkeling was nice in front of the bungalow. You have to wade in the water for about 2-3 minutes to reach the drop-off. Best snorkeling though was at and near Yenbuba jetty with beautiful Napoleon wrasse, barracudas, sharks, schools of bumphead parrotfish, giant trevallies..etc. The hike between the 2 islands is a lot of fun. Expect some stingrays and even sea snakes near the rocks of the little island between Kri and Mansuar.
We enjoyed the food a lot. It was of course rice and fish every day but there were always some additional veggies, noodles, and even french fries on two occasions. Also fruits and a green pancake for breakfast with some kind of coconut filling which was absolutely great! I especially enjoyed to be close to the local families during the day , see how the kids play and make connections with them.
As far as the host concerned, I cannot really share any experience. Not that we had any issues, and he was always nearby, always smiling when approached, but kind of felt like the place is really run by Carrie from neighboring Soul Scuba Divers – which is great because she was super nice, very helpful made communications (about anything) much easier. I am really grateful to her and also Thibault (the diver master) for all their help and the fantastic dives Thibault did with my son. Soul Scuba was really one of the highlights of our trip to Raja Ampat.
Every afternoon around 5 pm lots of red lories (couldn’t identify which species) gathered on the trees behind the bungalows and we saw Eclectus parrots on a few occasions.
The whole atmosphere was so relaxing, peaceful, we really loved every minute. I would definitely go back….like right now 🙂

  • Just a bit of warning to those heading to the Yenbuba Homestay, they have almost doubled the number of bungalows to accommodate more tourists.

    • Yenbuba currently has the six bungalows described above, Hank. They are building three more. The others you report belong to Yenbuba’s neighbours. (They are very close by, so that’s an understandable assumption!)

  • I have been at Yenbuba Homestay only for one night, then i changed my mind since there was another home-stay close by that appeared to me better as a position. I really regretted my choice. First of all the family is very friendly and nice, with adorable kids.
Yenbuba is very clean, especially the toilets, much cleaner than the other homestays in the same area; there are no rats, the restaurant is really well taken care of, the food is very good and there is variety and abundance.
Also the electricity is provided for a reasonable time, so you can recharge your tech stuff, more than the other homestays, where they keep it on only for 2 hours and may switch everything off at 20.30.
Carrie, who has a dive centre right there in the yenbuba, is always there to help with the communication with the family.
Don’t hesitate choosing Yenbuba among the homestays in this corner of Kri Island.

    Very very good!

  • Perfect place to stay in Kri Island.
I spent 5 nights in one of the overwater bungalows and I could not have made a better choice. Quiet and cosy, the room is quite spacious and comfy, and has a nice private veranda to chill on the hammock and enjoy sunsets. I didn’t have the chance to meet the owner but the couple managing the homestay at the moment are very nice and caring ;), always available for any request or problem.
The food is really good and it varies everyday, I am vegetarian and they served tempeh or other vegetarian options at every meal.
Highly suggested, I will be back soon…

  • On m’a heureusement recommandé Yenbuba Homestay!!!

  • We (family of 2 adults and 2 kids) had a fantastic stay at Yenbuba homestay.
The food was delicious and plentiful. The rooms were spacious and clean. They even had fans which really helped in the evening!
Communication and payment was clear and straight forward. The homestay is jointly managed by Soul Scuba divers next door.
On this note, we had a fabulous time diving with Soul. The dive operation is very professionally run, the equipment is good and all the staff are a lot of fun. Thanks again to Carrie and Tibo for making the ‘adventure trips’ so memorable.

  • Enjoyed the over-water homestay which provided a perfect view of the beautiful sunsets. The homestay was quite peaceful, the grounds were raked often, and the staff was very friendly. Finally, the food was great! The dive center, “Soul Scuba Divers” took me on 8 unbelievable dives after my beginner’s training.

  • The home stay is fine but the owner (Rose) is very rude. She shows no interest in the guests, unless it has to do with money. To sum it up: cabins are spacious and clean (no rats) and location is good but owner does a terrible job. Nice place, terrible manners from Rose!

  • I rarely write bad reviews. All the staff were very nice. And Rose, the manager, speaks really great English.

But I can’t recommend staying here unless you like:

    • Seeing lots of plastic waste on the beach in front of the homestay. You can recycle non-crushed plastic bottles and soft plastics at SoulScubaDivers.com next door or almost any plastic waste via Bank Sampah in Sorong. They kindly picked me up from the Sorong Port with many pounds of plastic waste I found at this homestay.

    • Hearing loud sound of motors from boats right in front of our bungalow, even at 10pm.

Also, I emailed Rose weeks before my arrival regarding if she could provide:

    1. A room with a working lock. She gave us the only room without a working lock. We only picked her place because it seemed to be the only one with a locking door.

    2. Tempeh each day because I’m vegan. We were there 8 days and we only had it twice. I asked guests at Mangkus Homestay around the corner if they have tempeh. They said they have it at each meal.

    • I absolutely agree with you that there is a trash problem on beaches—but not beaches in front of Yenbuba Homestay—beaches all over the world. Trash from Waisai, Sorong and all over the world is constantly swept onto the beaches in Raja Ampat. One day there won’t be any trash, and the next day due to a certain current, you will have plenty of plastic washed up on the beach.

Yes these people have a responsibility to pick up waste on their beaches, especially in front of their establishment. But us tourists have to understand that the mentality and education of these local people is still evolving. They very much understand that trash is bad but they’ve become desensitized to it. Walk through the streets of Waisai for a day and you’d start to become used to seeing plastic strewn about also.

Of course there needs to be more support from the government and other awesome organizations like Bank Sampah who’s doing great work but can only do what they can so far (they’re quite new).

The people of Yenbuba Homestay don’t throw their trash in the sea and are starting to inform their family and community the dangers of burning plastic. The children of Yenbuba village are doing beach cleanups, making eco bricks and learning about the dangers of plastic more and more as time goes on.

Rather than blaming locals we tourists need to do our part in educating them and supporting them. It’s so great to collect plastic and other waste and bring it back to Bank Sampah in Sorong but it’s not enough yet. We need to have conversations with locals, share ideas. And when a good opportunity to donate to a cause that’s tackling the waste problem arises, donate to it.

Let’s use these spaces for communication to be positive and proactive and brainstorm ways to inspire change in Raja Ampat together. 🙂

  • I agree with Orsi and Gabi, we had a wonderful time there, our second time there ,yes we came back and I was amazed about the new beautiful bungalows. We had the chance to meet, Rose. It was interesting to talk to her, she gave us an insight into Indonesia.
Thank You again from me and my husband.

  • Hello. Or course these comments are fakes one. Everyone can put many comments on that website without any control. That’s a pity! I’ve been there this summer. Obviously Rose, the manager (from jakarta) put false comments for this homestay explaining how fantastic is the manager. This Homestay is not too bad, but Rose is always stressed and is not interessed in turists requests and satisfaction. That is not fair. I would like to meet more local and honnest people, there are many in this area. Have a nice stay in Raja, it’s beautifull

    • Hello Angela

As you will have noticed by now, all guest reviews are held for moderation before publishing. Stay Raja Ampat uses IP checks and other tools to ensure that, to the best of our ability, only genuine guest comments are published. So, of course, rather than any of the published comments being “fake”, it could just be that guest experiences differ 😉

  • this is the place to be , we stayed 13 days in Yenbuba cottages this year (2018 and in 2016, in 2014) and it is our favorite place to be. The food is delicious and they serve a lot. People are absolutely lovely, they are all very attentive and helpful. Rose , the manager, is there to help with everything, excursions, boat rides, …. she is a very good manager, it is a delight to talk to her. Agus and his team have built two lovely new cabins on land, with local material, very solid, good beds, good matresses, environmentally friendly!! (They are not in the pictures here), they have now four cabins on water, too. World class snorkeling is right there, in front and in the back of the place. The tourists I have met there are really nice and interesting to talk to, they care about the environment, too.

  • I spent 6 days at Yenbuba homestay with my mother end of March- early April. It was the nicest place I have ever been. There are many homestays in Raja Ampat but Yenbuba has the best view in my opinion. Food was excellent, very fresh, tasty and big portion. The bungalows are clean and friendly, the staff is also very welcoming. The manager is very helpful and speaks good English, she advised amazing trips for good price.

  • Yenbuba Homestay was for me the best place to stay in Kri Island. I spent 10 nights there and everything was perfect. Variety of dishes everyday, the bungalow confort with a real mattress, the staff and the management of all small things you need. For sure I will come back again in that place, people were so friendly. I’m diver and I really enjoyed the underwater life. All people I met with snorkels were also too happy by they have seen underwater.
So don’t hesitate. If you have any doubt or request, contact Rose, she will take care on all your requests.

  • Arrived at Yenbuba Homestay exactly one year after our first stay we found the disfigurement on the beach of Kri island with the construction of new bungalows in the most beautiful point of the beach that overlooks right in front of Mansuar island. There is no longer the wonderful view that was there before. We asked if they were from the Yenbuba homestay and we were told by Rose, the manager who were from the Mangkur Kodon Homestay, and the next day we learned that they are owned by Rose, not the Papuan people.
The management of the Yenbuba homestay worsened, we had rats in the bungalow, and less attention in all compared to the previous year. Since Mrs. Rose from Jakarta has started her buisiness, she is no longer taking care of the Yenbuba Homestay.

  • We went to 3 different homestays in Raja Ampat. this area of the world is amazing, but we were a little bit desapointed about Yenbuba Homestay. we have been stung by a kind of flea. I guest that it is because the lunch room is on the sand (many insects, of course it’s nature).
The manager try to be nice with tourists but with difficulty, she’s very stressed.
Not really reliable on trip organization with no advice about location to visit.
Still the view is nice and even if there is nothing on the island the beach is nice.
What a pity there are now more and more bungalows on this beach.

  • Yenbuba Homestay was paradise. The location is stunning. The over-water bungalow was a beautiful experience. We saw Raja Ampat epaulette sharks under the boardwalks every night, and the front-row view of the sunsets was surreal. The food was impressive and varied.

The snorkeling was incredible, especially on Kri’s southern shore. We loved exploring the area spanning between Lumba Lumba Bay and Yenbuba Jetty. Note that at falling tide, the current races southward through the channel between the islands, and the opposite occurs at rising tide, at least in our experience. You can avoid the current by walking along the rocks around the eastern tip of Kri. Avoid low tide, since some coral is shallow, and you should never touch coral.

To enjoy your time the most, go with the local rhythm. The change of pace is why you come here. The weather can change suddenly, so you need to be flexible. The seas can get rough in an instant, but bad weather can also suddenly improve. In our experience we had no miscommunications or hiccups. Pickup and dropoff went perfectly. Rose speaks very good English, which is great.

Be prepared for big insects, beautiful spiders, a chorus of animal noises at night, and maybe a critter in the rafters. Everything is open air, and again – this is why you come here. I love night sounds, but earplugs helped. After a night or two, though, I became accustomed to it. The mosquito net was nice and sturdy, which gave peace of mind.

The overwater bungalow was nicer than I expected. There was a drying rack for wet clothes (very helpful), an indoor plug, indoor and porch lighting (for when the generator runs), and there was even an electric fan in our bungalow. The fan was nice to have, but not really necessary. It wasn’t too hot at night, and a cool shower (there is no hot water) right before bed makes for a comfortable bed time.

Our stay was like living a fantasy – we hope to be back!

  • I spent 10 lovely days at the wondeful Raja Ampat Islands. Yenbuba homestay is a very nice place to stay, bungallows are clean, comfortable and with mosquito-net. The feeling and the athmoshere is amazing, and the place is very quiet only you can hear the sounds of nature which was a real speciality for me.

Rose, the manager of the place is a thoughtful, caring person, who was always available when we needed her regarding for example arranging a boat for us or preparing the early breakfast/takeaway lunch when we left early morning for our trips. She speaks very good fluent english.

Food was very delicious, each day freshly made: something sweet for breakfast, and mainly fish, rice, vegatables, eggs, chicken, pasta and some specialities for lunch and dinner. Try the unique sweet soyasauce (Kecap Manis), that is special for Indonesia.

The environment is just like a real paradise on earth. The family living there is a cute little family with helpful, sedulous family members. I pretty much suggest the place if you want to hide away a little bit from the running world, if you are fed up with the accelerated world, if you want to enjoy life a little bit more, behind the scenes” in an impulsive, enthralling, charming environment.

lI went to yenbuba 3 nights .first i wasn’t happy because they came with more than 3 and half hours late to drop me at the harbourg.
The first thing the manager rose Sid to me that she stressed and she is tired. Ask me to say she is good to the owner……I wonder where I was.
The food was good and diverses.
The second day I asked her to organize my travel to the next guesthouse for 2 days later she said it is better I do myself…..fortunately I had a Indonesian phone card and I have the phone number …because no help.
The place around the toilet bathroom and dinner place where clean but to go to the beach it was dirty …a lot of plastic nobody clean And when it has wind and rain you swim in. Garbage. For me too organize in the western way …for the diner and I never met the Family. Rose take more care for people who rest for long time or some who come to work with tourist ….
I would not recommend that place. Except for the food .

lI went to yenbuba 3 nights .first i wasn’t happy because they came with more than 3 and half hours late to drop me at the harbourg.

  • Simply stunning!
My fiend and I arrived here after staying at 2 previous home stays that were inadequate. After arriving we found out that paradise does exist, it’s called Yenbuba.
The food is the best I had in Papua. The location is simply amazing, you are on the North Western corner of Kri, so great sun sets. The views are fantastic. The snorkeling between Kri and Mansuar is amazing (especially at the Jetty), just watch out when you swim back for the low tide, don’t tread on the low water corals.
But best of all, the staff. All of them were super friendly and professional. They keep the place nice and clean and last but not least the manager Rose is great. She speaks English very well, manages the place like its her own and cares about her guests well being. She is very responsive to emails, unlike other homestays I contacted. When Yenbuba is fully booked Rose has 2 extra additional over the water cottages (not yet bookable i think). We stayed there for a few nights and I wished we could have stayed there for a month. The views over the strait are to die for, and the mattresses are really comfortable.
Thanks Rose, hope to be back one day.
    Greetings Koen and Benjamin

  • My wife and I have been there a few days in october. The place is really lovely. This is a very nice location with nice sunset. The owner was not very welcoming with turists compared to other homestays we’ve been but still our stay was quite good there.

  • We stayed in Yenbuba in October and we totally felt in love with this place ; each day spent over there was a new surprise and snorkeling in this area (especially just in front the bungalow) was amazing.
Rose and the family took good care of us, the food was fresh, good and varied. Potable water, coffee and hot water all day. The bungalow was nice and the (real) bed was comfortable.
We really hope to come back to this paradise one day !

  • This was the best holiday week we spent in Indonesia! I liked everything, even the lack of a conditioner did not feel 🙂 I’m serious about returning to the end of next year! I want to see sharks and manta rays again.
Thank you so much Rose, you’re doing a lot of work!
Also, I’ll bring some souvenir from Latvia, I feel indebted 🙂

  • We spent 3 nights there but we quickly left because we saw several rats into our overwater bungalow. Food is good. That’s a pity corals are mainly dead in this area.

    • You’re completely right, David. Encountering rats when traveling to a nature’s paradise, is an absolute no-go. Me personally, I haven’t seen rats, but I also felt very much disturbed by the noise of cockatoos, parrots, birds of paradise, loris, sea eagles, egrets and many more. To make things worse, they even left their droppings on my terrace.
I think, someone should spray this whole enchanted island, to ger rid of all that annoying fauna-stuff. Instead, it would be a good idea to put up some more generators to provide 24/7 power supply. At least you could have a few cold beers then and drink all your sorrows and concerns away. You could also charge your electronic devices at any time and write more helpful reviews.
Thank you also David, for the warning about dead corals. This might help keeping people of your ilk away from Raja Ampat.

  • Believe the amazing reviews! This was actually my favorite homestay out of three. My only regret is only staying here two nights. This was my heaven on earth. We were blessed with the bungalow next to Rose which offers the best sunset views! Surprised that they have actual beds and a couple tables, and a door lock, which is something the other places didn’t have. The water and views are to die for. I could not put my camera down! We swam from Yenbuba jetty back to the homestay and saw so many schools of fish, turtles, and black tip sharks. The current was incredibly strong if you go out past the islands so be sure to ask where the strong currents are. Not sure what that one guy who’s bad review was complaining about. I thought Rose was fabulous!!! She was the best for communicating and arranging anything we needed. She greeted us immediately upon our arrival and showed us around. She stuck around at dinner and always was fun to talk to. She had a friend in town and they both were so great to have conversations with. They were both so knowledgeable about the area. When we come back we hope to be able to get in contact with Rose, and her friend. We definitely will be staying at Yenbuba homestay!!! Terimah Kasih to everyone at Yenbuba homestay for your excellent service 🙂

  • We had an amazing week at the Yenbuba Homestay. We were lucky enough to stay in one of Rose’s new over water bungalows overlooking the strait between Kri and Mensuar. We could witness some amazing sunsets from the veranda of our bungalow. The bungalow also had a very nice bed with a good quality mattress, mosquito net and also some shelves and a private veranda with a small table, two chairs and a hammock. From what I’ve seen this goes way beyond what most homestays provide and exactly what you need in such a place, not more, not less.

The food at the homestay was plenty and delicious. I do not eat fish, but I can imagine a fish lover would be happy for an occasional fresh grilled fish for the dinner, but this is just an idea, as said, we were perfectly satisfied with the meals we got. They were also very flexible, it was never a problem to get an early breakfast or a packed lunch if we needed it because of a day trip we took.

The nature around Kri is just amazing, both under and above the ocean. We’ve spent most of our days snorkeling either at the reef between Kri and Mensuar or the other reefs around Kri which you can reach by foot. You can also combine a snorkeling along the reef at the northern shore with a visit at the Yenkoranu Homestay (first pier) if you fancy a cold beer.

While snorkeling, we’ve seen an absolutely amazing variety of corals and fish, giant clams, turtles, eels, sea snakes and reef sharks.

    Some advice for snorkeling:

Watch out for the currents, they can be incredibly strong sometimes. Also watch out for the tide, sometimes it is very difficult to get out of the water without damaging the corals during low tide. Rub some tooth paste on the inside of you mask, rinse off and they will not get foggy. 🙂

Except snorkeling we did a boat trip to Pianyemo and a kayak trip to Friwen Wall organized by Kayak 4 Conservation. Another tip from us, don’t go kayaking that far if you don’t have a lot of experience, or even better, don’t go anywhere with K4C, but this belongs to a different review…

About Rose, she is the heart, the brain and the soul of this operation. Communication with her through emails is very easy. She does an excellent good job at running this homestay, she will do her best at helping you during your stay any possible way you need, be it a chamber pot, a pickup around Kri in case you are stranded somewhere.

Many thanks also to the family who owns the homestay, cooks the food, drive the boat for the pickups and keeps the grounds tidy.

There was one single thing with which were not quite happy during our stay. There is quite a big amount of thrash of all kind around the homestay outside the nicely maintained grounds around the restaurant and the bathrooms. The situation was especially bad around the path to the new bungalows. These areas should be cleaned up as soon as possible!

All in all, we had an amazing stay here. Raja Ampat is fantastic and so is this homestay. We really hope we will get the chance to come back some day.

  • We can’t believe the good comments we read before booking our stay are real ones. Rose, the manager, is not welcoming tourists and she’s a negative person, who is always criticizing people.
When people book for less than 1 week or ask questions then she dislikes.
She doesn’t give any advice, and organizing a simple day trip is complicated (very simple boat, not often available).

    • We keep a close watch for fake reviews Sylvain, and can assure you that the comments we publish are all from real guests.

We don’t censor comments either. Good or bad, constructive criticism or just destructive, empty opinion: As long as they are civil, we publish them all.

    • I do agree with you a little bit, but I think it deserves to get more than 0 star, even if we were a bit desapointed. Regards

  • This place has been the highlight of our trip in Indonesia. It is like paradise. Even though I have some troubles with insects I would have loved to stay there longer. The water is fantastic, everything you see under and over water will be just an amazing memory. We have been lucky as we took part on a snorkeling day to Pianyemo and beyond. Never seen so many corals and fishes in my life! The home stay is very nice and clean, Rose is very kind and helpful, the food they were offering was just great! I miss this place a lot!!!

  • This place is truly beautiful-the over water bungalows are gorgeous and it is so nice to wake up to the view every day.
Very clean and there is loads of good food every day.
The water around is crystal clear and great for snorkelling, you can also easily cross over the sand banks to yenbuba jetty to snorkel around there too. We saw loads of amazing stuff, they are lots of sharks around, including baby ones right next to the bungalows which are amazing to see.
Rose is an hilarious host, we ended up going to sorong with her (and Cindy-the kitten!) when we left and she took us to a great food stall.
We didn’t dive from this home stay so we can’t comment on that for this place.
Would definitely recommend this place, especially for relaxing/beauty-the water bungalows are pretty luxurious and the area is stunning.

  • We stayed at Yenbuba homestay for 4 nights at the beginning of August. For us, it was the best choice for our first journey to Raja Ampat.

The communication with Rose was excellent. She replies quickly to emails and message, which is great as Raja Ampat is still quite remote. We felt very safe to book our stay at Yenbuba.

The journey from Sorong Airport to Kri Island is easy. It’s described very well at this website. At Waisai harbor we were picked up by the owner of the homestay and his son. They have a small fishing boat. It was a true adventure to go trough big waves for one hour from Waisai to Kri Island. Be prepared to get wet 😉 However, August is not the best month to travel to Raja Ampat because of the high waves. We loved it. Put all your documents and electronics in a zip bag and store it properly.

The food at Yenbuba is cooked by the family of the homestay and it’s absolutely great. It’s plenty and the taste is fantastic. We had soup, vegetables, fish, chicken,….. it was very good and very fresh.

Snorkelling is perfect right in front of the homestay. We aren’t divers and still saw lots of fish and turtles. Furthermore you can go on trips for snorkeling etc. Just ask Rose and she will arrange. Very easy and quick.

About Rose: Rose is a great host. She manages the homestay and speaks very good English. She is the brain of the organization at Yenbuba homestay. It’s very safe and clean. Prices are fair. From what we saw at other homestay nearby, they are not as safe and good is not that great.

Personal tip: If you book any homestay in Raja Ampat, write them an email. If they don’t write back – cancel it. I did the same with the first homestay we booked because I didn’t feel safe about it. Raja Ampat IS VERY remote. We felt much better with Rose answering our questions and just being there 😉

Personal tip 2: 3G works very good at Kri island if you have Telkomsel. We had it and we were able to call our beloved ones over WhatsApp easily.

Personal tip 3: Take a lot of care of you personal belongings on the ferry from Sorong to Waisai. Unfortunately a lot of money was stolen from us.

You will love Yenbuba homestay if you are ready for an adventure and want to see something DIFFERENT than usual. The beaches are absolutely fantastic, you will meet new people and share your stories. You can also climb the little mountain at Kri Island or go over to Mansuar. And go to Pianemo, unfortunately we didn’t!

Yes, power is only there for some hours. Yes, there are a lot of big insects. (Like REALLY big!) People say there are snakes but we didn’t see any. It is not a 5 star hotel where you have All Inclusive and 10 pools. If you want this, better go somewhere else. It is a 5 billion star hotel if you look at the sky it night.

  • Kri island is very beautiful and i guess yenbuba homestay is the best choice for staying at. Rose is very much concerned that everything runs properly and that boat pick up’s and food are on time. (When you are not on time because of diving, lunch awaits you still!) Food by the way is delicious and various every day. There’s always enough for everyone. The bungolow half over water is i think as nice as the fully overwater bungalows and its even cheaper and you have more privacy there.

There is no bintang at yebuba. There’s no fridge, best is to bring it from waisai or sorong and get used to drink it warm.

Located just a walk over the sandbanks at lowtide from yenbuba village away makes it easy to go and buy zigarettes or go snorkling at the jetty. Yenbuba jetty is great snorkling with blacktips, wobbegongs, giant trevallys, school of batfishs, huge bumphead’s, school of giant and smaller barrakudas, turtles and so on. Really world class snorkling.
Diving can be arranged by rose or you just walk along the beach (lowtide) and organise yourself. But please as we were witness of a diveaccident at koranu fyak (divemaster dove with empty tank, eventhough the finimeter showed him 200bar – on 30m he had after 10min suddenly no more air. Lucky him he stayed that time not too far from us as he usually did and i’m a dm and know at least theoretically how to handle emergencys), make sure that you check you’re eqipment and tank properly, organise buddyteams if the guides don’t. All diveshops beside kri eco resort have no padi or equal lisence to take you underwater. Be prepared that papuan style usually means they are on delay and sometimes they promise you to dive but they don’t even have enough tanks or equipment.
Koranu fyak as no good divemasters at the moment. Not enthusiastic at all. They seem to be bored, so that’s not where you wanna spent you’re money at. Today we try delfin dive. I hope they are better underwater – we are now waiting for two hours to go diving – that’s why i find time to write my comment.

Lots of words from my side. Rose is super, yenbuba homestay is great, kri island is beautiful!!!!
Just make sure you’re safe while diving and you will enjoy your trip to raja ampat!

    • Thanks for taking the time to write a review Jenna, and thanks too for reiterating the need to check everything and make sure you have a dive buddy organised.

Just a note: Wobbegong Dive Adventures at Koranu Fyak is actually a fully licensed SSI dive center and the owner Ruben is a properly qualified instructor. Of course that doesn’t make much difference if guides are not properly trained. It’s important that everyone is aware of this information before committing to diving in Raja Ampat.

  • We spent 8 days in Yenbuba homestay with Rose. We REALLY loved the bungalow over water, it was one of our best week in our life, even more awesome than the pictures on the website, if that’s possible! You arrive on the island with a big smile on your face until you painfully leave the place… The location is close to paradise, you have to see it to believe it.

It’s easy to organise boat trips with Rose, with fair prices, you share the costs with the other people. Boat drivers are nice people! The price of the bungalow is really fair too.

Food is good, we especially liked the breakfasts.

The snorkelling is really beautiful, just 100 m from the bungalow you can see turtles and sharks, even dolphins!

Rose is really fun and she has a lot of stories about her country, she’s a real insight into Indonesian life. She answers really quickly to your messages.

You have electricity in general from 6 pm to midnight, sometimes even later, which is more than enough. Few mosquitoes.

  • We stayed at Yenbuba for three nights in the end of July. We were very happy with our stay and the manager, Rose, is very friendly and good fun! The bungalows overwater are perfect with a great panoramic view over the water. It is easy to plan all kinds of trips and there a great snorkling just in front of the bungalows and at the Yenbuba jetty! Also, the food is great compared to other homestays.

We would recommend this homestay to anyone coming to Kri.

  • I just turned up and stayed at Yenbuba a second time. The bungalow is excellent. Rats were not a problem this time.
Unfortunately, Rose, the very capable manageress, was on holiday. This meant that the quality of service and cooking was much lower than it was last time.
I recommend that you find out whether Rose will be there before you make a reservation.
    This time only three stars

  • It’s pity that we can’t rank with 6 stars. Everything was absolutely perfect, pick up from Wasai harbour, accomodation, delicious food, trip etc.
House reef was full of coloured fishes and also turtles and sharks.
Next time we have to stay much more longer than 5 nights.
Thank you Rose and your local staff for everything.

  • I had 5 wonderful and unforgettable days in the waterbungalow at Yenbuba homestay. Rose is a brilliant Manager who will try to do the maximum to make you feel home. The food is exceptionally good, the rooms are spacious and the bed very comfortable. Above that everything was very clean and the dining area is a cosy place. The views are breathtaking and the location is extremely peaceful. The excursions and transport to Waisai is well organised. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a dream holiday without worries. Simply the best place to stay when going to Raja Ampat.

We stayed in a water bungalow, are very beautiful, clean and cared for. The passion that puts us Rose by excellent results, the guests feel at home. The food is very good, nice and well served. The location is the best on the island and due to the low tide are formed of sand of incredible beauty and you can reach the nearby island of Mansuar. For snorkeling there are several excellent points, all very close. And ‘possible to organize excursions by Rose, or you can aggregate with guests of the nearby homestay depending on the excursion, the number of participants and distance to reach.

  • We stayed in one of the 3 waterbungalows in Yenbuba Homestay in January 2017. We planned to stay 4 nights, but ended up staying 9 nights (and had to leave because it was booked by other people). It was our first stay in Raja Ampat and what a wonderful experience! The 3 overwater bungalows are new, clean, good bed with good musquito net, private, airy. To us it seemed that Kri is developing pretty fast, but this western tip of Kri where Yenbuba is located, is still pretty quiet. We really liked the house reef, lots and lots of fish and often we went snorkeling from Yenbuba to Yenkoranu, walking back. Also with low tide walking on the sandbanks in the direction Yenbuba village is nice. We did many boattrips to surrounding places and reefs, nearby and small distances with August, the owner of Yenbuba. He is a very nice man and knows lots about marine life and where to find fish and reefs. Several trips further away we did with Raymond, the owner of Mangkur Kodon, around the corner. All the trips we did with him were fantastic, only a pity that he was not always in the mood to do trips. To share the cost of boats / fuel, we also did trips together with guests from Mangkur Kodon.
Food in Yenbuba was very ok, though a bit repetative, but everything has to be brought from Wasai and as there is no electricity there is no fridge to keep things cool so choices are limited. As I was eating Veg food, they catered very well with that.
The heart of Yenbuba is Rose. She is an excellent host, loves the area, knows a lot about Raja Ampat and shares her knowledge with her guests. I think without Rose, Yenbuba would be a different place. Also, she was very fast in replying on my reservation request. Thank you very much Rose, August and all other people of Yenbuba for a wonderful wonderful time!!

  • I stayed here in December. Rose is an amazing host. She speaks good English and can help you out with anything. I enjoyed playing darts with her in the evenings, although she is very lucky! There is an amazing area of sand in front of her home stay where you can take a bath in an amazing tropical paradise setting. I also liked seeing the baby sharks swimming by the bungalows and sometimes watching the whales swim just beyond the house reef. Can’t wait to go.back

  • The bungalows over the water are very nice- and cost 400 000, a bit more than others. But you sleep in a real bed. Rose is an excellent host and organiser. Playing Uno was fun for me who usually never plays with cards. The evenings were friendly, amusing, and without too much beer. Very enjoyable.Food is good.
    Corals and snorkelling are great.
The only drawback are the rats in the roofs: they did not come down but you hear them at night. The neighbour’s idea of importing some cats seems a very good solution. But perhaps my dislike of rats is abnormal.

  • Rose is a wonderful host. She is very attentive to her guests comforts. She was good company for this single traveller – introducing me to friends and took care with my food allergy. The homestay is well kept and very good food. Three nice new bungalows over the water. Very nice beach and the and the sandspit to loll-on at low tide.

  • We stayed in 9 homestays and Yenbuba was by far the best of all of them. The bungalow is very well equipped even with a real bed. The location is simply great next to a reef full of corals, turtles and sharks. The manager Rose is very nice and speaks English. We played dards or Uno with her and the rest of guests every night:). The best food that we ate in three weeks all around. Definitely we will come back!

  • We stayed 14 days in October 2016 at Yenbuba and loved it. The setting and the new bungalows with sunset view are great.
The service was good and the cleanliness as well. Especially Rose is taking care a lot for their guests even she organised a nice birthday cake for Verena and we coud join her to Waisai to the festival. The food was good and changing nearly every day.
The snorkling in front of the homestay is good and arround the corner in the next bay its great. The sandy areas in diretion of Mansuar are like a private pool and its fun to play in the shallow when the drift is strong.
Diving with the neighbours dive shop is not recomandable as the safty is not good and the equpment is very old.

    • Hi Frank & Verena and thanks for taking the time to write a review.

In the interests of guest safety, it would be best to name the operator you thought unsafe.

(Yenbuba has more than one neighbour that offers diving too!)

  • We went to Kri after spending some time in Arborek and Mambefor. The owner was quite nice. The food was decent however we had no meat nor fish unlike in other inns. They provided only veggies and eggs so in term of food they were simpler than the others. I wrote some of my experiences in my blog maikamondlicht.blogspot.com. might be useful for those who wants to go.

  • We stayed in the homestay one week and everything was okay. I think Yenbuba is the best and most beautiful homestay in Kri. The bungalows over the water are amazing, all are new. There is a real bed and a table, the mosquito net is in perfect condition. There is a lock in the door. At night you can stay in the jetty looking at the stars. The food is excellent, almost four or five different dishes. Rose is always looking for everything is fine, see is very nice. The toilet is clean and very nice if you compare with other homestays. Beers are imposible to order…
I felt a little bit disappointed with the reef just in front of the homestay. Is in very bad condition, and only you can see some corals. I would subtest to the homestay to try to restore the coral reef in front of, I have seen other projects in other islands and in five years you can see new corals growing up.

    • can you elaborate more about your disappointment with the home reef? the latest review by Francisco Furió on 13 dec described a reef with coral turtles and sharks.

  • I spent 4 nights at Yenbuba homestay and had most fabulous time. The newly built bungalows are clean and comfortable as per all pictures. Watching the sunset from the hammock was just a bliss. The entire Yenbuba crew was lovely and welcoming. I felt like a part of the community. Food was delicious and plenty with fruit and leftovers available all day. Rose is the most helpful and entertaining manager and she sorted out Piaynemo trip for me. Fantastic snorkelling is available just outside the bungalows. I also took 4 dives with neighbourly shop. Diving with Ray was fantastic and I much recommend going with him as he is really experienced and passionate. I’m grateful I could visit this stunning part of the world and Yenbuba homestay made it really special.

  • I stayed also at yenbuba for three nights , to me it felt like I am at home with my family. The food was great and if I needed any extra food rose was there for help.
Every night we sit all together and have dinner and talk and then come a long night of uno games and fun.
    I already miss staying there.
And I agree mosquitos are a problem at kri so do be prepared.
Rose is very welcoming and speak english well and fun to be arround and the best part is you can watch sunset from the room and electricity is good too

  • We spent 3 nights at Yenbuba’s newly built over the water bungalows. It’s good quality and clean as you can see from the posts pictures.

Owner Agus and family was nice and kids were fun to hang out with, games and all.

Rose is the manager and speak good English so there is no problem communicating what we need. It is a homestay but we felt like a little hotel experience.

Mosquitos seems to be the main problem in Kri, it’s just everywhere especially during the night, so be prepared.

Snorkeling is exceptionally good south of Kri, so start from Yenbuba and head south then west, it is possible to snorkel all the way to Yenbuba Village, just be careful of current.

  • Be carefull!!!!

The home stay from Rose is very Dirty!!!!
She give not the services mentioned!!!

The food the first day was good but later going in bad because there is not frigo!!!
The food is not enough and she not take more on the table!

She sell the excursion but she not have a boat for excursion! You will stay in a beach for some day with out go in another place! If u re lucky you found a exsternal boat! No diving, but at the phone she say yes on a close bungalow!!!
    NOT TRUE!!!
The only one execution that she proposes in a Piaynemo! 6.000.000 like a luxury resort but with a 40 engine old boat! One hour distance.
Toilette is very dirty, no clean!! Bad smell…
The only think nice is sand bank in the other homestay that you can go direct and that they clean little beach the beach!
Rose the owener disturb all day with photo for its facebook page but not care the problem!
    Don’t take this guest house

    • I was about to write my review but I felt the need to reply to this.

Based on the number of good reviews here from other guests and one more from me later, We can safely assume Davide’s experience is a one-off and highly likely to be expectation not met.

I wondered why Davide did not move to another guest house/resort/homestay since there are really plenty available in Kri within walking distance or short boat ride.

From what I understood about the homestay here, most boats are just one and mainly family owned and not for guests, so schedule of trips must be planned and subject to availability especially when another boat from other guest house/homestay/dive resort is involved.

There are plenty of places offering diving in Kri, one next to Yenbuba, one south of Kri(walking distance).

My personal opinion: it’s just a rant from Davide because his expectation wasn’t met. I am sure Hanging Garden in Bali would serve him just fine if he’s willing to pay for it.

      Matthew

      • We were also desapointed with this homestay and saw in the same time other people moving to another homestay. Just respect that everyone don’t have always the same feeling and experience

My personal opinion: it’s just a rant from Davide because his expectation wasn’t met. I am sure Hanging Garden in Bali would serve him just fine if he’s willing to pay for it.

      • We were also desapointed with this homestay and saw in the same time other people moving to another homestay. Just respect that everyone don’t have always the same feeling and experience

  • The homestay is very nice, it has rooms over the water, I think this is one of the best.
The owners don’t speak English but they are very friendly and helpful.
If you want to dive, you have to walk a bit to find a dive centre.
The food was great and tasty, usually they do it spicy.

  • This Homestay is just unbelievable. The food was so delicious that I get hungry just thinking about it. The location is fantastic and the family is extremely heart warming!

  • I stayed there for a week and it was simply perfect. Angus the owner is one of the best and helpful people on this earth. He doesn’t speak English but google translator helped me. The location is the best of all places I have seen. It is surely the most beautiful corner of raja Ampat to stay. Just wonderful! Bring something for the 2 children 😉 they like chocolates and games

  • We spent 4 nights at the end of august 2016 at Yenbuba Homestay in one of the 3 recently finished overwater bungalows.

We had the best time of our lives at Yenbuba! The overwater bungalows are quite spacious with brand new beds, matresses and mosquito nets. Even electrical light and a plug connector are available in the room. Everything is basic but very clean. When sitting in front of the bungalow on the landing stage, you have a wonderful 180° view from east Kri over south Waigeo to east Mansuar/Yenbuba village. The Mansuar sandbank is just 100m walking distance away and you can easily walk to Mansuar during low tide.

Augustinus and his wife have been very kind and friendly hosts and Mama Sauyai takes care of your stomach 3x times a day (I didn’t belive that when reading all the reviews upfront but it was true – mostly different types of fresh fish, vegetables etc.).

We will definitely come back Raja Ampat and especially to Yenbuba Homestay again since it has been the highlight of our 6-weeks Indonesia trip!

  • I stay here for 3 nights. Good service from everyone in homestay. Food is good in quality and taste, but it will be better if homestay separate food for each group. Sometime each group can not eat food at the same time.

  • We spent 11 days there, and we thoroughly enjoyed it, Snorkling at the front and the back of the island is great. We liked the clean place with basic facilities, it is nice because it is not as overcrowded as other places on Kri can be and therefore not polluted with smells,
We slept on new matresses and the three new sea bungalows have been finished now. The food was really good, Everyone was very friendly, attentive and helpful. I`d like to thank them again for everything.

  • We spent 9 nights out of our 15 days at Yenbuba homestay.
Very well located, 5 star snorkeling right in front of the homestay (sharks more than guaranteed every time) , food was excellent and plenty (Mama cooks and takes care of your stomach as I´ve never seen before), bungalows and toilets are basic (as every other in Raja Ampat, other than the 100 dollars night resorts 🙂 ) but very clean.I more than recommend staying with Agus, mama , Naomi and Tomy (adorable kids) , when we go back we will surely stay with them again!

  • My friend and I had the best time at Yenbuba Homestay!
Wonderful family with adorable kids. They took good care of us and made delicious food. The room and bathrooms are clean.
They are also next door from Mangkur Gordon dive shop.
This home stay is in a good location. When the tide went down, we could walk from Kri Island to Masuar Island to visit Yenbuba Village and go snorkeling.
We definitely want to go back there.

    Allways smiling and giggles.
The homestay is clean and well maintained.
Snorkeling is good and next door at the diveshop you have a great team to dive or go with Lucky for a snorkel trip.

  • Stayed here early January 2016. Absolutely loved it. The family who own Yenbuba, are friendly, kind hearted people who made our stay so good.. we changed plans at the end so we could finish our stay with them. Accomodation was basic as is most on Raja Ampat. Hut consisted of bed (not on floor) and a simple table. Bathroom had a dip mandi & squat both housed separately. Everything was clean and ordered. Food consisted of fish, rice, noodles always with some sides of vegetables and the occasional omelet. As with everything in this place, care was taken & every meal while repetitive was tasty & had flavour. Location was also a 10/10. The sunsets were sublime & the brand new over water huts being built will be a welcome addition. We as a party of 4 loved Yenbuba. We will be back!
