Wesano Homestay offers two over-water private bungalows on a sheltered beach on the Pam island of Ambower..

The bungalows sleep two on raised beds. Sheets, pillows, bolsters, mosquito nets, and electric fans are supplied. Power outlets and room light switches are fitted.

Meals are served in Wesano Homestay’s beachside dining room. Guests will always find free drinking water, tea and coffee making supplies available in the dining room.

Wesano Homestay guests share a  concrete-floored bathroom building. A western style toilet is provided in one room and dip mandi (bucket) bathing in the other.

Electricity is supplied by generator and is available from sunset to about midnight.

Wesano Homestay normally receives a strong phone signal. The 4G signal supports internet connections for those with the appropriate Telkomsel plan.

Basic supplies can be purchased in neighbouring Pam Island villages, but, as everywhere in the islands, it’s best to bring any essential supplies with you.

Also as elsewhere in Raja Ampat, there is no safe waste disposal at Pam. Please do take your trash with you: Any inorganic waste you leave behind will only contribute to the trashing of paradise.

Very little English is spoken at Wesano Homestay, so bringing a translation app or phrasebook is recommended.

If you have plenty of time, you don’t mind a bit of discomfort, and you want spend as little as possible on transport costs, then there are cargo boats that you can use to get to the Fam Islands. (Obviously, if you are going to arrive on the cargo boat, then you don’t need to request a Waisai pickup when submitting the booking form above.)

Here’s what you need to know about getting the cargo boat to Fam.

Activities

Snorkelling and Hiking

Bring your snorkelling gear! There's great snorkelling around Meos Ambower and Pam Islands. Piaynemo, Melissa's Garden and Andau's mantas are all close by.

A quick boat ride across the narrow strait that separates Meos Ambower from Pam will place you at the beginning of a path that connects Pam’s two villages. Exploring Pam’s beaches, villages and coconut groves is a great way to spend a day. Be sure to ask about Pam’s virgin coconut oil industry. Oils and pure coconut soaps can be purchased from the local cooperative and you are welcome to observe and/or participate on production days. The round trip from the jetty to Saupapir, Saukabu and back is about 12 kilometres.

Like all homestays, Wesano can provide boat transfers and tours as needed.

  • Wesano Homestay was our best homestay experience in Raja Ampat!
The friendliest homestay family we had in 2 weeks. We had a lot of fun and entertainment with the local children.
Tonci was always available to take us on excursions with his boat for fair prices. Very close to the Pyanemo island, plus beautiful snorkeling spots.
We loved that this was a smaller homestay, just the 2 bungalows, so felt extra remote, and very authentic with a lovely Papuan family. You will need translate to help with communication from Indonesian to English.
Food was also great, and big portions!
    10/10 highly recommend!

  • Lovely homestay on a coconut palm beach decorated with lovely shells . Basic bathroom with no insects. Very well fed and we were provided snacks and coconuts.
They were patient with us despite changes of plan and accomodated us despite language barriers.

  • Excellent homestay with great host family – they really went above and beyond trying to track down some mantas to see! You’ll be very well fed and looked after here.

  • Probably the friendliest place.

They have Coconut Crabs here!! Why didn’t we know beforehand.

The host was always ready to help and the whole family and kids did their bit. There was more than enough food in the almost private dinner room. Before we were given coconut water.

    Close to other snorkel sights

  • Wesano Homestay was added to Stay Raja Ampat today, and so does not have any reviews yet.

It’s really hard for families trying to launch a new homestay.

Please do consider giving Wesano Homestay a chance, and then be the first to submit some feedback.

Hiskia and the Wesano family would love to welcome you 😊🙏
