Seagrass Homestay lies at the edge of Pam village, on Pulau Pambemuk’s eastern shore.

Two private over-water bungalows are offered.

The  bungalows sleep two on raised beds. Sheets, pillows, blanket and mosquito nets are provided. Bungalow verandahs are equipped with table and chair settings, and have panoramic sunrise ocean views.

Meals are served on the bungalow verandahs. As at all homestays, free drinking water and tea and coffee making supplies are always provided for guests.

Guests share a 2-room bathroom building on land. A shower and bucket bathing is provided in the bathroom. The other room houses a western-style toilet and another shower.

Electricity is from Pam village supply, and is usually available all night.

Seagrass Homestay normally receives a strong phone signal. The 4G signal supports internet connections for those with the appropriate Telkomsel plan.

It’s short walk into the village, where basic supplies are available.

As everywhere else in Raja Ampat, there is no safe waste disposal at Pambemuk: Please do take your trash with you: Any inorganic waste you leave behind will only contribute to the trashing of paradise.

Very little English is spoken at Seagrass Homestay, so bringing a translation app or phrasebook is recommended.

Transport / Getting there

Transfers between Waisai and Seagrass Homestay are by longboat. Transfers cost IDR 2,000,000. The cost is shared by the longboat passengers (3 max).

Transfers for more than 3 guests can be arranged. There may be additional cost.

Alternatively, you can get the weekly public boat from Sorong or Batanta as below. (It’s a short walk from the harbour to Seagrass Homestay.)

Public Boat to the Fam Islands

If you have plenty of time, you don’t mind a bit of discomfort, and you want spend as little as possible on transport costs, then there are cargo boats that you can use to get to the Fam Islands. (Obviously, if you are going to arrive on the cargo boat, then you don’t need to request a Waisai pickup when submitting the booking form above.)

Activities

In common with all homestays, Seagrass Homestay can provide tours and transfers on request.

Tour pricelists are not provided, because cost varies widely, depending on number of participants, destination/s visited and the current price of fuel in Pam village.

Bring snorkelling gear, because Piaynemo, Melissa’s Garden, Batu Rufas and Andau’s mantas are all close by.

Pambemuk is a small and friendly village, easily explored on foot.
