Activities
Snorkelling and sightseeing
Be sure to bring snorkelling gear, as Papuani Homestay occupies a marvellous stretch of sandy beach which is sheltered and perfect for children. The sand gives way to isolated coral outcrops and then to reef as you move away from the shore.
At low tide long beachwalks are possible. Cockatoos, parrots and ground dwelling mound building birds known locally as maleo can also be seen nearby.
Your hosts can organise snorkelling and sightseeing tours to anywhere you want to go.
Diving
Diving is by arrangement with Papuani's neighbour Tarzan Diving.

We had a fantastic 4 nights and Papuani. I’d highly recommend. Petrus and his family are lovely hosts, friendly and organised. I stayed here with my husband and 2 teenage daughters, and it was exactly what we were expecting. Simple bungalows right in the beach front, sharing eating and washing facilities with other guests. On our 4 days, we had different food for each breakfast, lunch and dinner. They accommodated our ‘no fish’ food requests. Breakfast was self serve, cake, fried banana, choc bread etc, enough left out for each guest. Lunch and dinner was rice, different vegetables each day, chicken and eggs in sauce and watermelon. The food was not spicy and much much tastier and varied than we were expecting. There are now 4 bungalows.
Being right next to Tarzan Diving was handy and one day Petrus arranged for us to have a snorkelling day trip. A packed lunch was offered but decided to keep it simple and come back for the afternoon, but handy to know it could have been an option.
We were able to keep our snacks in the fridge, we had good 4G coverage for 98% of the time and power from 6.30pm to 6.30am.
I would definitely come back.
Thank you Stay Raja Ampat for your excellent website and your support for both locals and tourists.

We stayed for a week with Petrus and his family and we would highly recommend this homestay! We had a beautiful view from our terrace above the beach and the bed was comfortable and plenty room in our hut for the 2 of us. We dived with Tarzan who are located a 2 minute walk away which was very convenient. We had plenty space to charge our cameras and phones in the room (from 6pm to midnight). The food was very good and always too much for us to finish and the hosts were very accommodating when we required lunchbox for day trips or meal late if we did a night dive. We hope to return and stay again!

I have been at Papuani Homestay for one week and It has been a great experience. The bungalow is clean and the food is ok. The location is perfect, next to Tarzan diving and with the sea just in front. Highly recommended accomodation.
