Details

Koridek Homestay offers two VIP bungalows on a fabulous southeast Gam beach.

Koridek takes its name from the sunrise, which illuminates the beach every morning.

Koridek’s barrel-vaulted bungalows sleep two on raised beds. A mosquito net, sheets and pillows, and bath towels are provided. The bungalows are equipped with light switches and power outlets.

Couples with one young child can share the double bed. If you want to do that, book for two and and pay IDR 200,000 cash for meals for your child.

Bungalow ensuite bathrooms have showers, bucket bathing (for when the electricity is off) and western style toilets.

Meals are served in Koridek’s beachside dining room. As at all homestays, free drinking water and tea and coffee making supplies are always available there.

Electricity for lighting and charging devices is supplied by generator and is available from sunset to around midnight. If guests are willing to pay for the extra fuel, then electricity can be provided on demand.

Koridek receives a weak and variable 4G signal, so guests should expect to be mostly offline while at the homestay.

Yenbeser and Friwen villages are about 10 minutes away by boat. Only basic supplies are available at village shops, so be sure to bring your essential supplies with you.

Minimal English is spoken at Koridek Homestay. Bringing an offline translation app or phrasebook is highly recommended.

Please do take your inorganic trash away with you when you leave: There is no safe means of inorganic waste disposal in Raja Ampat. (See our Don’t rubbish Raja Ampat article for more about this.)

Transport / Getting there

Transport between Koridek Homestay and Waisai costs IDR 500,000 each way.

The longboat used can carry up to 4 passengers, and the total trip price is shared by passengers.

Activities

Koridek Homestay has good snorkelling straight off the beach, and can provide snorkelling and sightseeing trips to anywhere you might want to go.

Diving can be arranged (subject to availability) at neighbouring Kordiris Homestay.

The jungle behind Koridek is home to kuskus, squirrel-like tree rats, black king cockatoos and bush fowl (maleo) that build huge nest mounds in the forest.

The winding mangrove-filled waterways and dense jungles of the Dore Dor lie behind Koridek. The Dore Dor is a birdwatchers paradise, alive with hornbills, sea eagles, eclectus parrots, kingfishers, and herons.

  • I had a wonderful 7 night stay at Koridek with pak Hengki, bu Sipora and family.
needless to mention, I was very extremely well-fed, and my lunchboxes for my full dive days were yummy. I am especially grateful as my dive pickup were at 7am!
the beach in front provided lots of snorkeling opportunities. birding is good both on the beach, at the cabin and the forest behind. almost everyone helped me spot birds. it is truly a place that gives you a lot of feel good warm buzz.

  • We spent our first nights of our stay in raja ampat at koridek homestay and it was the perfect choice.
The huts are built with love and the private toilet was nice for landing in paradise. You couldn’t wish for a better spot to land in raja ampat.
The food was the best we had, compared to all the other homestays we visited, well seasoned and always plentifull.

Even though the family doesn’t speak much english, with a little help from Anton, who works next doors, everything went super smooth..

Definitely recommended of you wish for a cosy quite place..

  • we stayed there for one night, the room is very clean and beautiful with bathroom inside of each room, and small garden in front, you can enjoy the quite and peace at the corner of the beach, there are beautiful birds flying around in the morning.

The owner is an old couple, polite and helpful, also nice food.
we booked a boat trip for mantra and going to next homestay, they helped a lot. searching for mantra for long times, even though we did’t have the luck to meet mantra, they’ve done their best. and the couple drop us at Abrotek island for lunch, the view under the jetty is fabulous and we took a lot of good video.
and when send us to the next homestay, the owner is not there, the couple help to confirm with their neighbor to make sure we are in the right place, and even help to make the bed when found it’s not ready.
    highly reconmened!

  • We stayed at Koridek for 6 nights in January 2026. We had a GREAT time!! Even if they don’t speak English, everything went super smoothly. Booking and payment through stayatrajaampat website with same day confirmation. Pick up was waiting for us at the ferry.
The homestay itself is really nice, clean and the ensuite bathroom is a plus!
The bungalow is under a canopy of trees which is a big plus on the sunny days! The water is less than 1m away at high tide.
The food was diverse, plentiful and good!! Most days we had fish available and we asked for eggs and fresh fruits every morning which they happily provided.
The family is very nice with 3 generations living together and smiling all day long!

    Very happy to recommend!!

  • This is my third time visiting Raja in the past three years. And I’m pleasantly aware of the homestay culture in Raja. But this homestay changed my sheets in the middle of my stay, a large amount of food, a secluded corner of the island, quiet, and the private toilet is a plus. The transfer to the port was efficient and at a good price. The lunch boxes for day trips were delicious and I didn’t miss a day. would go back to this place.

  • Koridek Homestay was added to Stay Raja Ampat today, and so does not have any reviews yet.

It’s really hard for homestays new to the website.

Please do give Sipora and Hengki a chance, and be the first to submit some feedback for them – they’ll be so happy to see you! 😊🙏
