Details
Firdas Homestay occupies a quiet location on a fine sandy beach in Warahnus Cove on Kri’s south coast.
Five over-water private bungalows are available. All have verandahs with tables, chairs, and great ocean views across the Dampier Strait. The bungalows have raised beds with covers, pillows, bolsters and mosquito net. All bungalows have power outlets and room light switches. Bungalows are set up for 2 people, but extra mattresses can be provided if needed.
Meals are served in an over-water dining room that sits behind bungalows. Free drinking water and tea and coffee making supplies are always available there for guests.
All guests share a 2 roomed, concrete floored bathroom. One room houses a western style toilet, the other provides for bucket bathing. The bathroom is accessed via the single boardwalk that connects the dining room and bungalows to land.
Electricity at Firdas Homestay is available from sunset to around midnight, and the homestay receives a good mobile phone signal with a (slow) 4G data connection available.
Only a little English is spoken at Firdas Homestay, but neighbours can help if required.
Please note that, as everywhere in Raja Ampat, you need to take all your inorganic rubbish away with you when you leave. Such trash left on the island cannot be safely disposed of and will simply add to Raja Ampat’s growing rubbish problem.
Transport / Getting there
Transport between Waisai and Firdas Homestay costs IDR 800,000 each way, shared among passengers. The longboat used can accommodate up to 5 passengers.

Activities
Snorkelling Be sure to bring your snorkelling gear, because Firdas Homestay's seagrass flats and house reefs are fabulous. A wide range of marine environments can be experienced between Waranus Cove, the nearby western end of Kri, and across to Mansuar's Yenbuba jetty. Snorkeling trips by longboat can be organised to anywhere you want to go. The table below gives tour prices for some of the most popular sites. Prices are per trip, shared by passengers.

水上コテージに3泊、子連れの3人家族で泊まりました。
部屋は海を見渡せて広めの屋根付きの外のバルコニーはハンモックやベンチが広々でとても居心地が良い。
部屋には昼でもネズミが来て、食べ物をあさるので、必ず高いところに吊るす必要あり。（ネズミはどこにでもいるので、しょうがないとは思います。）
ベットは高い位置にあるので快適。蚊帳も新品なので、安心。
食事は、種類と量と味は正直、感動はない。
ローケーション：最高 ハウスリーフも良い、隣のダイビングショップの桟橋からシュノーケルする事が出来、直ぐにリーフのリッジを泳ぐ事が出来る。
サービス：シュノーケルの際に小さな娘を見てくれて、夫婦二人とも同時にシュノーケルが出来て助かりました。感謝です。
オーナーが急用で不在のために英語を使える人があまり居なく、少々不便を感じる事があった。
また最後にワイサイまで別のスタッフ(もしくは外部委託）が送迎してくれたが、すでに運賃をホームステイに支払い済みなのにワイサイに着き、請求されると言う後味の悪い経験をした。

Cabañas muy bonitas dentro del mar. Muy básico todo pero limpio,al igual que los baños comunitarios.
Al estar dentro del mar no sueles pasar calor por las noches
La comida sencilla pero muy bien cocinada y deliciosa: arroz ,un pescado de la zona y verduras. El desayuno poco variado, siempre había cosas dulces, nada saludo.
Difícil comunicación con la familia al no hablar inglés.
Recomendable

Ottima sistemazione sul mare. Consigliata a viaggiatori e non a turisti: molto spartana! Basterebbe poco per rendere i bagni più dignitosi: aggiungere un lavandino per lavarsi i denti e uno specchio per riuscire a radersi. consigliamo a Firdas di rimuovere la catasta di immondizia proprio vicino al pontile di accesso perché ci sono i topi ed entrano nei bungalow! Rivedere le tariffe di trasporto in quanto più alte del 50% rispetto ad altre famiglie. I fili della corrente scoperti vanno sistemati perché pericolosi e non lasciati all’ incuria. Buon cibo. Le foto sono a vostra disposizione.

We only booked one short boat ride with them and tipped very generous on that occasion, but when we left Fridas, with out leaving any tips, we immediately received at messaged from them asking if we weren’t happy about their service. – So lessen learned, they expect to be tipped, whereas we as Northern Europeans don’t tip unless we experience something beyond the expected:-)

Basically everything is beyond wonderful. There are great diving and snorkeling spots nearby. The food was simply brilliant, and the whole team/family behind Firdas gave my hope back in humanity:). They are thr kindest people I’ve met for a long time. It was certainly amongst the best places we have ever been.

Four of my friends stayed here while a larger group was staying on board a boat. We had meals for 12 people at the homestay and the food was amazing, they went all out for us. The hosts were very generous even giving us water to take back to the boat and a birthday cake for my friend.

The reef drop off has gorgeous coral, so many fish, and more sharks and turtles. The family was so so friendly and helpful. Super sweet and playful kids! Having a bit of Bahasa Indonesia is helpful, but if you get stuck just put what you need to say in Google Translate. We also used the path behind the homestay to hike up to the top of Kri for breathtaking views. Arranged some snorkeling trips with the owner and also with some other tourists we met. The food at Firdas is delicious – so much amazing fresh fish and greens grown from their small garden. Would definitely recommend this homestay! The only small thing to note is that the mattress we had was quite worn, with a divot in the middle. We finally solved this problem by putting the pillows at the foot of the bed and sleeping that way instead.

This is a stunning homestay with incredible views, we saw sharks daily right under our bungalow. The food is 11/10, so so delicious, such a variety and plenty of food for every meal.
It’s helpful if you know some basic bahasa as they are not that confident in English.

Awesome location, beautiful housereef and great huts on the water (with a bed!). Very comfortable.

Why mixed feelings? We have the feeling the owner tried to screw us with the transport prices.
We told him that we didn’t have internet or an Indonesian tel. number. But we needed transport to Batanta. Owner told us transport to Batanta was 2 million, because the petrol in Yenbuba was more expensive. And that this price was normal.
The trip to Batanta is 1 hour, so we thought 2 million was way to expensive. Owner said we could use his internet later to contact our homestay on Batanta for a pick up. But he didnt arrange internet.
So we asked him to call our contact in Waisai, for we couldn’t reach the Batanta homestay. He said the number wasnt active. So I tried my Dutch tel number (which is expensive), and the contact in Waisai picked up the phone. The number was active.
Our contact in Waisai arranged a pickup from Kri to Batanta for 1.5 million. When we arrived at Batanta, we learned that the normal price is 1 million. This price is also showed on the website, we found out later. Unacceptable way to try making money by the owner, of guests who are dependent on you..

We liked just about everything: plenty of delucious food that was all the time on the table, spacious overwater bungalo rooms with hammack on verandas, good coral reef with visiting sharks, turtles. We even saw a whale on the distance. Lovely friendly people from nearby homestays made company for everyday snorkeling tours.
We didn’t want to leave, stayed additional 3 nights but we needed to manage coronavirus situation at that time.

Excellent! This is like a homestay should be. Best kitchen we had in our 5 weeks in RA. There was allways plenty,tasty and much varied food, vegis, fish, rice,pasta,fruits and lovely cakes.
The rooms over the water are basic but clean and have a nice view from the verandahs. Toilet clean and fresh water for shower, not salty at all. Even the dogs look nice and healthy on that beach : ) Very good snorkeling housreef. Thanks to the family, we wish you all the best, Sonja and Ronald

Very clean & spacious bungalows above the water so no rats and musquitos.
Amount, variety and the deliciousness of the food was also by far the best of the 4 homestay we stayed. Oh yeah.. Stunning sunset scenery when you have some clouds even though the fact that she dissappears behind Mansuar.

We spent here more than a week in November and we were more than satisfied with everything.
You walk out of the room and you can go into the water, snorkel with turtles, sharks, and many species of fish. It is wonderful.
The bed is very clean, the food is tasty, the toilet and shower are better than we expected. The hosts very extremely nice. I recommend this place to everyone!

We stayed 6 nights at Firdas in January 2019 and can highly recommend this homestay!
Bungalows were clean with chairs on the veranda and your own water dispenser.
Food was really good and varied and the family were very kind to accommodate vegetarians.
The whole vibe was really peaceful, and during the day you have access to the most abundant reef, right out of the homestay. Swim further down, towards the jetty and past it and we saw lots of turtles and black tips.

We stayed here because we had To leave the previous place where we were because was full . And what a great surprise ! Only 3 bungalows over the sea. A quiet beach not To busy compare To some other places. This is exactly what we where looking for . We were suppose to stay 2 nights and ended up staying 8 ! The family was so Nice and cook amazing food. Even delicious cake every evening. The sunset are also just amazing from the balcony. We stayed here because we had To leave the previous place where we were because was full . And what a great surprise ! Only 3 bungalows over the sea. A quiet beach not To busy compare To some other places. This is exactly what we where looking for . We were suppose to stay 2 nights and ended up staying 8 !
