Details
Dayan Dive Homestay Raja Ampat sits on the western shore of Pulau Dayan, a small island at the western end of Batanta’s north coast.
Six private bungalows are available. All rooms sleep two on raised beds. Sheets, pillows, bolsters and mosquito nets are supplied. Electric fans and storage racks are fitted.
Meals are served Dayan’s over-water dining room. As at all homestays, free drinking water and tea and coffee making supplies are provided there.
Guests share a bathroom building that has a western style toilets and bucket bathing.
Electricity is supplied by a generator which runs from sunset until midnight.
Dayan Dive Homestay Raja Ampat receives a 4G phone signal, which usually supports a data connection.
Starlink Internet: Dayan offers free use of their Starlink Internet service to guests.
You’ll need to bring all the consumeables you consider essential for your stay, as Dayan is very remote. The nearest village (Yennyar/Marandan Weser) is about a twenty minute boat ride away, but only very basic supplies of the kind used by local people are available there.
Raja Ampat suffers from a total lack of safe waste disposal and recycling services. All homestays request that their guests please take their inorganic waste away with them when they leave, so as to not contribute to the growing trash problem in the islands. This is especially important at a small, isolated island like Dayan.
English is spoken at Dayan Dive Homestay Raja Ampat.
Transport / Getting there
See Dayan's February 2026 pricelist for transfer prices.
Dayan Dive Homestay Raja Ampat offers pickups from both Waisai and Sorong.
Only select the Waisai pickup checkbox on the booking form if you want to be picked up from Waisai.
For pickups from Sorong - or anywhere other than Waisai - you will need to contact Dayan after booking. (Contact details are provided in booing confirmation emails.)
Public Boat to Batanta
If you have plenty of time, you don't mind a bit of discomfort, and you want spend as little as possible on transport costs, then there are cargo boats that you can use to get to Batanta. (Obviously, if you are going to arrive on the cargo boat, then you don't need to request a Waisai pickup when submitting the booking form above.)
Here's what you need to know about getting the cargo boat to Batanta.
Activities
Pulau Dayan was the site of one of Conservation International's first Raja Ampat Marine Protected Area patrol posts. It's easy to see why. The reefs around Dayan are some of the richest we've ever seen. Be sure to bring snorkelling gear, because Dayan is a snorkellers' heaven. You do need to be careful of the strong currents that sweep around the island when the tide is running though!
Dayan also boasts long stretches of perfect beach, including sections where it's easy to get in and out of the water without stepping on coral. Mantas, whales, dolphins, and turtles are all often seen, and dugongs are occasional visitors.
As mentioned above, Dayan is extremely remote - but if you were heading to (or from) a Pam Islands homestay, Dayan would be the perfect place to spend a few days in the middle of the journey. Dayan can organise day trips to the Pam Islands, Piaynemo or any other place you might be interested in exploring.
The pure, clean waters of the bays around Dayan and Batanta are perfect for oyster cultivation, and there's a pearl farm nearby that could probably also be visited if you were interested. Batanta jungle treks and waterfall visits can also be arranged.
If you're interested in seeing one of the last remaining villages in Raja Ampat in which all the houses are traditionally built, organise a visit to Yennyar. Yennyar is the name by which everyone refers to it, but the village's formal name is Marandan Weser. Yennyar is a ten minute boat ride from Dayan.
f you're looking for a place to really get away from it all, can afford the extra travel cost, and are looking for excellent snorkelling and blissful downtime, it's hard to imagine a better alternative.
Volunteer for Dayan Dive Homestay Raja Ampat coastal ecosystem rehabilitation projects
Konstantinus and the Dayan team have an ongoing coastal rehabilitation project that guests are welcome to particpate in and/or donate to.
Coral nurseries are maintained to help reseed damaged reefs, and coastlines threatened by sea level rise are stabilised by mangrove plantings.
See Dayan's February 2026 pricelist for details.

Our stay here was a disappointment. After just one day, we decided to move to a different homestay, and it was the best decision we could have made. Our new accommodation much better matched the standard of the other places we stayed at during our otherwise fantastic trip to Raja Ampat. The homestay seems to neglect basic maintenance. Our cottage was not well-cleaned, and the mosquito net was torn. The interior felt dark, and the cottages are not located directly over the water. The path to the cottages was cluttered with mess, leftover construction materials, and piles of rubbish covered by blue plastic tarps. It did not feel like a welcoming environment. The food was the weakest we encountered during our entire trip. We arrived just 10 minutes after dinner started, but there were only a few eggs left, along with some noodles and vegetables. There were no plates prepared; we actually had to use napkins instead of plates. The communal space lacked sufficient seating for guests. Lunch was an exception—it was good, with plenty of food, including fish. The dive center itself works well. The divemaster was professional, took good care of the group, and all equipment was prepared ready for the dive.
However, the local dive sites do not compare to those around Kri, Mansuar, or Fam in terms of coral quality, fish life, or water clarity. We even encountered floating trash on the surface for the first time here. I must commend their coral conservation efforts, which is very honorable work. However, if you are looking for a cozy homestay with a personal touch and beautiful nearby reefs, I would recommend avoiding Dayan Dive.
We had the best stay at Dayan in february. Owner/staff are all very professional and friendly. Good and well portioned food. Nice huts. House reef is damaged, however, there is a manta cleaning station about 300m away from the jetty(can only swim out some hours of the day), and the surrounding area has beautiful sloping coral.
Fantastic stay, mantas at the end of the wharf. A very easy going homestay, with diving and snorkeling so accessible. I thought the bean bag in the boat to fall into a nice touch. Wonderful coral and of course huge variety of fish. Great food. Lovely shower. Thankyou!
Hi my dear guest, thank you so much for visit and stay with us, we hope we meet you next time.
Fantastic area. Mantas are just a 2 minute boat ride out front. There were also frequent Dugong sightings during our stay and on our last day we were lucky to snorkel with one.
Homestay is comparable to Raja standards but has a sweet water shower and good Starlink. Also, the owner is very friendly and will make everything possible you ask for. He has projects in coral and mangrove restoration so your money will support that.
Hi my dear guest, thank you so much for visit and stay with us, and thanks for support our conservation project, we hope we meet you next time
We stayed at Dayan Dive Homestay for 8 nights which was much longer that we expected, but we just loved it so much. Constantine and the team were so friendly, helpful and kind and the ethos is one of conservation and respect for nature.
We enjoyed so many beautiful dives at different dive sites – some a short swim away and others 5 minutes by boat – which was always available to take us out. During our dives we saw multiple manta’s, dugongs, wobbegongs, nudibranchs and so much more (and that was just snorkelling/ freediving). We also managed to help with Constantine’s coral restoration project which was inspiring to see how much love he puts back into the island.
We also really enjoyed the peer where guests and locals collect to watch the sunset, play local songs/ instruments together or watch mantas, dugongs, sharks and eagle rays visiting or passing by.
The food was plentiful, varied and delicious and the the huts (with fans) are clean, super well built and have plenty room for unpacking stuff. The homestay space is super well kept, the bathrooms are neat and clean and the general feeling is one of being close to nature in a family space.
Constantine was also super helpful and was able to arrange accommodation for days he was not able to accommodate us in a gorgeous single hut homestay across the bay, multiple dive/ day trips and was able to arrange a transfer direct to sorong which was helpful – all done in his super chilled, no fuss way.
We had a really beautiful time staying here. Thank you Constantine and team for all you do. We would DEFINITELY recommend this homestay to anyone wanting to travel to Batanta, and we hope to be back soon one day.
Hi Lisa, thank you so much, for visit and stay with us, we hope you happy when you stay with us, and we hope we meet you again.
Food: nicely grilled or fried fresh fish every day for lunch and dinner. Different veggies as well as tempeh and tofu. Fruit for dessert.
Things to do: manta (snorkelling or diving) after breakfast. We snorkelled with 4-5 Mantas every morning we were there. Snorkelling with dugongs or diving in the afternoon, not much else. Also possible to See the Paradiese bird. (Trip start at 5 am). But we didn’t do that.
Facilities:
Good shower in the common bathroom with running water. Bathrooms clean.
Bring Moscito Spray and maybe bug spray with you. Maybe some biting insects in the matress.
Dayan feels like the ultimate castaway island stay – in a good way. The Homestay is secluded with no boat traffic around and only one other homestay within walking distance. The beach huts are really new and have some of the best furniture we encountered in our trip, with really comfy beds. Food was plentiful and one of the nights we had a whole fish barbecue that was delicious!
Our host was also lovely and super helpful organising snorkelling trips and private transfer to sorong.
The house snorkel is amazing, with pristine coral gardens and also great spots just across the bay.
The only thing to note is that the photos in the listing are not up to date and you can see they are renovating parts of the Homestay, specially the eating area is quite different than depicted.
Thank you so much for visit us, i hope we meet again. about the dining room, we move to new bulding close t dive center, because we want to bulding new dining room.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dayan and would come back, although the pictures posted here are seriously out of date and need to be updated.
-The huts were in good shape and we had no issues with rats although mosquitos were a problem.
-The food was very good and there was always more than enough of it.
-We would have liked to do more diving, but we weren’t usually able to do more than 1 dive per day because the boat and dive guide were busy.
-The marine life was surprisingly good near Dayan. Good snorkeling out front and across the bay. Mantas passing by on almost every dive and once they even passed just off the jetty out front, we all got our fins on and went snorkeling with them. Not epic diving like further north but really solid and with way less tourists.
Thank you Alex, for visit and stay with us, we hope we meet you again,

Overall Experience: Our stay was okay, but we would not return. You can see that the homestay has had better days, since the owner has left the homestay himself the maintenance is lacking.
Facilities & Condition: The eating area had a leaking roof with no protection from the rain. The floor was unstable, and several wooden planks were broken, so you had to walk very carefully. Accommodation itself was clean and comfortable, and the toilets were cleaned daily. Another guest reported rats in their hut, though we did not experience this in ours.
Staff & Communication: The people were very friendly. However, apart from the dive guide Stanley, no one spoke English. With some basic Bahasar we were able to communicate. Communication with the owner through Whatsapp went smoothly.
Trips & Activities: Trips were enjoyable and could be organized, but they needed to be arranged early. It’s best to coordinate with other guests because the number of boats and staff is limited, making it difficult to organize separate transport, trips, or diving for different groups.
Food: The food was disappointing compared to other places we stayed. Breakfast consisted only of dried banana or cake. Lunch and dinner were repetitive but acceptable.
No fresh fruit was provided at any meal.

Accomodation – clean, nice, calm, relaxing… but due to many non-resposible tourist you can find rubish arround. We were probably one group collecting our own rubbish and bringing it back to Sorong).
Snorkelling around – fantastic – mantas, secret garden, Anas garden, trip to watterfall and local village (we had very nice interaction with local kids while we bring them some small things as notebooks, penscils, plush toys etc), baby sharks around, many fish and corals (many plancton = not such good visibitily)
Food – plenty of it
Locals – nice, friendly, supportive, local kids very sweet and we spend a lot of time with them and we miss them a lot
Trips around – many options
Island – very beutifull, calm, close to other nice attractive spots

We stayed four nights at Dayan and had a truly wonderful time. The place is very breezy, and the bungalow is simple but comfortable with a large shelf for storing things. The restaurant, right on the sea, offers an enchanting view. We ate quite well, including excellent sautéed vegetables and freshly caught fish. Breakfast is a bit basic, but when we asked for fruit and eggs, they accommodated us. If you’re missing anything, just ask and they’ll try to help. The staff is incredibly kind, and in the absence of the owner (who we were in constant contact with), we had the pleasure of spending time with George and his family. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. We took boat trips to Payainemo and the Batanta waterfalls. The reef in front of the homestay is rich and full of fish and coral. There was one day when they had a supply shortage, but they quickly resolved the issue. Thanks to all the staff for everything!

We recently stayed at Dayan Dive Homestay on Batanta and had an extremely disappointing—and frankly unacceptable—experience.
There was no one to welcome us upon arrival, and throughout our stay, there was no staff presence at all on the compound.
On our second morning, the owner’s brother appeared to inform us that they had run out of food and gasoline—and had no money to buy more. He told us plainly that there wouldn’t be enough for lunch or dinner, and for breakfast, six guests were given a single cake to share for the entire day. Diving was still possible that day, but he warned us that there would be no fuel for diving in the following days. He also said he wasn’t sure when or if he’d be able to travel to Waisai to restock.
The listing on stayrajaampat.com advertised Starlink internet, which was a key reason we booked this place. However, it did not work at all during our stay. To be clear: we understand this is a remote location and didn’t expect high-speed WiFi. But we relied on the internet to make the Wise payment that had already been confirmed by the owner, Konstantinus, a week earlier. Only after we complained to stayrajaampat.com was a note about the Starlink issue added to the listing. We would have appreciated being informed in advance, so we could have brought sufficient cash.
Konstantinus, the owner, was completely absent throughout our stay. No one on-site spoke English. When we finally reached him by phone, he denied that there were any problems—even though we were directly informed by his brother that there would be no meals or fuel. In fact, his brother even showed us a message he was sending to Konstantinus, explaining the emergency situation.
In the end, we left three days early, along with two other guests, and filed a complaint requesting a partial refund.
That’s when things went from bad to worse: Konstantinus refused to refund anything and instead accused us of fabricating the entire situation—essentially calling us liars. The other couple who left with us also filed a complaint and were equally dismissed and insulted. The homestay later claimed they served “eggs, cake, and fried rice” for breakfast.
Despite its idyllic location, Dayan Dive Homestay is an absolute disaster of a place to stay. What we experienced was not simply “island life” or “rustic charm” but gross mismanagement, a lack of basic hospitality, and dishonest business practices. Guests were left without food, fuel, or any form of support. And rather than taking responsibility, the owner chose to gaslight and insult paying customers. We strongly urge other travelers to avoid this place entirely—there are plenty of other welcoming and reliable homestays in Raja Ampat. This one is, sadly, a risk not worth taking.

A note to readers:
As we do our best to warn guests, being served just pancakes for breakfast is not uncommon in Raja Ampat.
Guest Donati Tomasso, who was at Dayan both before and after Chris and Jannik, confirms that, despite what Chris and Jannik were told, there was no ongoing shortage of food or fuel.
Yes, the starlink connection that Dayan provides free of charge was down. Notice of this was posted on Dayan’s page on July 26 – the day before Chris and Jannik checked in.
As is made clear in booking emails, booking payments are for room and board only. Provision of free wifi to guests is a courtesy extended by homestay owners: Free wifi is not guaranteed, and the failure of such a service is not cause for a refund.
Konstantinus, having already purchased the supplies required for his guests, naturally refused to authorise a variation to the agreed cancellation policy.
Further investigation has revealed that perhaps Konstantinus (who was absent for PERJAMPAT meetings) was misinformed by his staff about the true situation at Dayan.
In light of this, and despite the fact that Dayan had already been paid for the bookings, PERJAMPAT has borne the cost of refunding the guests affected by this very unusual incident.
Hi my friend, you are very bad person, please dont lie people. We very kind people. We do our the best for service you, for about the food dan gazoline you said no enoung, is not true, because we still have food and gazoline for you eating and also activity. I visited the Dayan Homestay for 10 days in the late May – early June of 2025. During my stay I did 24 dives with the homestay. I am seasoned UW photographer with over 6000 dives around the world.
This homestay is a very different place as above all they make you feel welcome and part of their family trying their hardest so everyone has a great/ positive experience whether a diver or not.
Dayan is mostly protected from winds which makes it ideal for diving as most dive locations are a 2-5 minute boat ride from the homestay. I was able to take some great macro and wide angle shots. Efrain, my main dive guide spoke English and was one of the best guides EVER! Stanly, the macro master dive guide, brought Dayan at Lembeh Straits level as Dayan is the best place for macro in Raja Ampat.
Soft and hard corals rule in Dayan and will only get better as during the past years the homestay has been working with an international organization called Coral Live out of Switzerland. During my time at Dayan a Scottish and Australian marine biologists were “transplanting” 2,400 hard corals in front of the homestay. The hard coral “nursery” was created 14 months ago and now that corals had grown to an adequate size they were being moved to their permanent location.
Last but not least I would like to thank and comment Constantinus, the homestay owner, who has put endless amount of time, effort and money to bring this homestay well above the others with newly constructed cabins and dive center. While he most certainly makes sure everyone who visits leaves happy he does not leave his eye from the bigger picture which is maintaining and improving the surrounding coral reef to the homestay so future generations continue enjoying Dayan in Raja Ampat!
I look forward to my second visit to Dayan hopefully sooner than later!

I would recommend to stay here, the bungalow was comfortable and with a good mosquito net (there were a couple of holes that they should repair though. We closed them with a clip). Not many mosquitos are around anyway. The meals are really good, the breakfast cakes are nice but could be a bit more varied (elsewhere we had chocolate sauce and toasted bread, that’s an easy win). The diving spots are good, and I’ve seen different interesting corals that I haven’t seen when I was in Gam. We got some currents but nothing crazy. As usual in Raja Ampat, you should be an independent diver and not rely on the guide to check and assess everything for you. English is almost not spoken at all (the owner was not around), but the people are kind and helpful.

Beautiful Island. Bungalows are in second row, quite basic and no fan at night. Electricity only from~ 6-10pm. Breakfast was only dry cake, seldom small bananas. Lunch and dinner typical regional food, not much to choose from and sometimes not very tasty. Owner Konstantinos was not on site, but easy communication to book trips etc. via WhatsApp. Good boats and dive guides. On some snorkeling areas beware of heavy currents. House reef not very rich. There is an ongoing effort to grow corals back.

We had a wonderful stay at Dayan Dive Homestay.
Constantinus was very friendly and welcoming, and he’s also a good singer!! we had nice dives and a full day trip at Batanta waterfalls which we enjoyed a lot. We had nice time with Constantinus who also supports the conservation of this beautiful natural paradise,
This is a perfect place for those looking for an authentic experience, the room and toilet was basic but okey. The food was very nice.
The reef in the nearby is super beautiful and you can see a lot of wonders.

It’s hard to sum it all up but Dayan was a highlight of our whole trip. The Homestay is nicely done but – as they all are – basic. However, everything is comfortable and clean. The food is well prepared and delicious but again, keep your expectations in check. If you remember this is a seriously remote spot and work from that point then everything is wonderful. Constantinus and his family are fantastic – we were privileged enough to hear the men’s group jam session one night. That’s above water. Below water is just incredible. We were lucky with mantas and I doubt we’ll ever have an experience (experiences – 3 dives) like it. Super chilled mantas and very close encounters- they came to us. Other dives were great too and the snorkelling is fab. I saw a dugong go by. Above all, the coral restoration efforts are amazing. I hope they continue to develop the eco / conservation through to all aspects of the Homestay. Wonderful time – many many thanks and see you again soon. I’m a fan – can you tell!

We stayed 4 night at Dayan and we had a wonderful time! Konstantinus and his family are all trying their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We did 6 dives with him that felt very safe and well organised. They don’t ask you for any diving credentials, so it’s up to you to take responsibility. Because most dives take place within the bay, there is hardly any current and diving is easy. They have a first row of older, over-water bungalows, but they are building a new row behind them. Since we wanted some more space and less mosquitos, we asked if we could stay in a new one and it was no problem at all. What I loved about Dayan is that you can walk around on the island so you don’t feel so ‘trapped’ as at some other homestays where this is simply not possible at all. They play beautiful music in the evening that makes the vibe even better. When we left, they even played for us until we were out of sight, very touching! We did a trip to the waterfall and combined this with 2 dives, a very lovely day. The waterfall is beautiful and we were the only ones there. If you are looking for a real authentic experience, Dayan is the place to be for me personally. Thanks a lot Konstantinus and family to have made us felt at home!

We liked very much to stay and dive at Konstantinus Homestay. The hole family was very friendly. Konstantinus speaks good english and we got everything we needed. Our house had two big matrasses with big moskitonet over them and a terrasse overlooking the sea.
I was impressed by the bathroom building with big shower and toilet with bump shower comming from a tap.
The food was very delicious and we missed it very much after our stay.
When I needed wifi one morning, I just asked and it was no problem to turn it on for a few hours. Overall it was very nice, thanks to Konstantinus and his family.

I had a great time at Dayan dive Homestay. The main advantages are:
-the room is very big, with 3 big shelves, the bed is the biggest and most comfortable compared to other Homestays in RA that I have stayed,
Here I could sleep better than other Homestays I have stayed because at night the air is cooler and the bedroom is not hot like other Homestays.
big hammocks very comfortable.
-fresh water is available all day and sufficient, I especially like the view from the restaurant which can see the sea far away, the food was delicious, especially the fish and stir-fried vegetables, it would be even better if there is more variety in the menu and I really appreciate the care of the sister who cooks the food, she always called me to come and eat. ♥️🙏
Another main advantage is that ,it is a Homestay with many people staying, so we can share the cost of one day trips to different places at a cheap price.
I love and appreciate the fresh coconut water they provide, and their music and songs too.
The dive shop has good diving equipment. I went diving at Manta point and was very impressed. If I come to Batanta again, I will come back to stay here and dive here again.

Worst homestay in Raja Ampat. I have written details on google review so will not post here but if you’re doing the research where to stay in Raja you can check.
We do wish that you had contacted us about this at the time, Thu.
If basic standards were not being met, then we would have refunded you and helped you move somewhere else.
Everthing already in website but you want to low price, everytime, We not understand. Worth Homestay in Raja Ampat ? Mybe just for you, because you want all perfect, you not understand about situation. But thank you for bed reviews, we can do the best one day.

My favourite homestay we stayed at (out of 7). Incredible house reef and 200 metres to manta point so we swam with them 5 times. The manta point didn’t have a strong current either compared to others we had been to in Raja, also saw at one point 6 giant mantas swim in a row right past me.
Food was also the best we had, very delicious and good variety.
There’s also starlink if you need wifi, worked super well.
Overall, absolutely loved our time here and would definitely go back. Thank you so much for an incredible experience!

Hi
Thanks for visit us, we hope meet you in next time.
We stayed here for four nights, the first week in February. The pickup at Wasai was late, but the ride was great, they even had a very comfortable bench pad to stretch out on. The Homestay was similar to most in raja, right on a beautiful beach to work on your tan with no one around. We had a chance to get some diving in,it was beautiful really enjoyed the mantas and the reefs. One notable difference is the lack of garbage, unlike Kri. The food was good and very plentiful. Bathrooms were clean and it had a funky shower head, pure genius 🤣. Thanks to the whole family for a great stay. Note because of the distance we would suggest staying 4 or more days to get to see every thing. It’s remote but worth the effort.

Worth the boat drive !! We stay 6 nights at first and stayed 10 !! Some of the best guided dives we have done in Raja Ampat. No liveabord, very tranquille area.
Stanley was an amazing guide 🙌 really got the eye and patience for macro stuff !! Always willing to go under water.
Fun, easy and beautiful dives around Dayan. Every spots around are insane. Anna’s garden and mantas point 😍
Wow!
Food was good, always enough.
Bungalows are on the beach, some are more rustic and private then others. They were building some new ones too.
Again, I would recommend to bring some snacks if needed 🙂 Hammock are always nice in Raja Ampat.
Keep in mind that Dayan is located on a little island facing the main giant one. No hike around the homestay except for small discovering time.
We had a hard time at first to figure out activities (very limited english) because the owner wasn’t there. But we manage and people are always there to help anyways. Internet with starlink was working well. Power at night and sometimes morning time. No fan but comfortable and windy at night.
Totally worth the stay 👌

We stayed four nights at Dayan Dive Homestay. We would have liked to stay longer. We dived a lot, enjoyed the beautiful underwater world. Compared to the island of Kri you don’t encounter many other divers here underwater. Furthermore, the reefs look fantastic. Stenglin has a super good eye for all the small details underwater, fantastic to see and we highly recommend diving with him. From the pygmy seahorse, to many nudibranches as well as diving with so many manta’s! The homestay and our little hut by the sea felt like a Robinson Crusoe experience. If you want to get away from civilization for a while, go to this homestay. We would love to come back!

Please Mona, we give you good bungalows, yes when you there is a storm, but after that everthings is fine, and abaout bungalows behind, your booking bungalows infront is not behind, and bungalows behind is not finish stiil building, and then i think you already do diving activity but yes our equipment is not many, so another guest must waiting for. But thanks for you review, we make better in the feature.

This homestay is a little gem, thanks to the dedication of Konstantinus and his family and the stunning natural surroundings.
We found our hosts humble and attentive. Konstantinus made sure we were comfortable, and accommodated our diving requests or wishes for other activities.
He is committed to conservation, actively nursing corals, planting mangroves, and teaching in the village to protect the environment.
The coral reefs are far less affected by bleaching, sewage, and tourism than other areas in Raja Ampat. Snorkeling and diving here were pure bliss. The area does experience strong currents though, which requires some caution.
The family played beautiful music in the evenings, which created a cozy vibe. The food was plenty and truly delicious. One night we had freshly caught Spanish mackerel for dinner.
Prices for transportation and activities were clear and consistent with the website.
Some guests complained about visibility, coral rubble, and other natural factors. These are part of the environment, likely influenced by storms and the topography of the place (they are also facing erosion of the coastline).
We found it easier to appreciate the natural setting and the efforts to preserve it.
A few stray dogs were around, which some guests found bothersome.
This homestay offers an incredible blend of unspoiled natural beauty, genuine hospitality, and meaningful conservation efforts. The commitment to protecting the area from erosion and preserving its pristine environment is inspiring. With stunning snorkeling and diving opportunities, it’s a wonderful choice for nature lovers who appreciate remote, authentic experiences. Highly recommended!
Thank you so much my friend, we hope we meet again.

We stayed six nights at Dayan homestay and enjoyed every moment. Konstantinus is an excellent dive guide making it possible for us to get the best out of our dives. The diving equipment was good and we had a feeling that we were safe with him. We saw mantas several times. We also dived with Stanley who is good at finding nudibranches and other tiny things. Snorkeling on the reef is also very good, although the currents can sometimes be tricky.
Konstantinus even arranged two dives for us on our departure day, one on the way to Kri. Special thanks for that!
Our bungalow was on the seafront, and I loved falling asleep with the sound of waves on the shore. The restaurant above the water is lovely and food was truly excellent and varied. The toilets and shower are shared, and they were clean.
I warmly recommend Dayan homestay and would be happy to come here again!

Konstantin and his family-team definitely play in the highest league of Raja Ampat homestays. There is spirit and energy in what they do – be it food, guiding, or customer orientation. And they have starlink internet.
Dayan seemed far away when we first visited Raja Ampat, so we didn’t cross the strait. Second time around, we did, and we definitely recommend doing this. There are a few places on the other side that have similarly spectacular reefs, good food, warm and interesting hosts. But not many. All of those three in one place – maybe, we haven’t been there yet.

Dayan Dive homestay is such a peaceful place. The dive guides are great. We did some great diving and snorkeling. They even played a concert for us on our last night. We highly recommend this homestay.

Dayan Dive Homestay offers simple bungalows with a stunning view. The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming, with a wonderful musical talent that adds to the charm of the stay. The food is tasty and plentiful, and every morning we had the amazing experience of snorkeling with manta rays. Highly recommended for nature lovers and those seeking a genuine local experience!

A great place to stay to enjoy awesome snorkeling and diving in an area of Raja Ampat that is a little bit more remote. Konstantinus is super nice, helpful, a great diving guide, and concerned about conserving the pristine underwater world in Batanta. If he is not around, his uncle Willam or his brothers George or Stanley will be happy to help you. Lunch and dinner was always plenty and delicious.
For more details, I am referring to Olga’s comment from 16/11/24, which is a pretty accurate description of the place.
Thank you to everyone at Dayan Homestay!!
Thank you very much my friend, for visit us, i hope we meet again.

This was the most exotic and warm stay in a family hotel (homestay). A very beautiful and diverse house reef, a manta point one minute away by boat, privacy, a kind host family, delicious food, heartwarming evenings with music when the family played on homemade guitars – all this will remain in my heart forever! There are some nuances that I would like to improve, but they are probably considered traditional and temporary 🙂 For example, the monotonous “breakfast”, consisting only of a muffin every day. I would like something more filling, but lunch was already at 11:30, so we could endure it. It was a little inconvenient without a sink to just wash your hands or face. Very little choice of diving equipment, but we still managed to find the right sizes for ourselves. The huts by the sea require repair. New huts are being built on the second line. There is also garbage on the island, but this is a problem not only on this island, but throughout Indonesia. Konstantin – the owner of the homestay, does everything possible to protect nature: he planted mangroves, restores corals, participates in various forums on the protection of nature.
There was wi-fi access at the pier next to the dining room. The Internet was available when the electricity was turned on, that is, from about 18:00 to 00:00. I would also like to note the absence of mosquitoes – I never used mosquito spray.
There was also a very kind and modest girl on the island – Elza, with whom we became very close friends and I will miss her.
We could always discuss the details with the family and with Konstantin. In general, I am happy that I chose Dayan Dive homestay for my vacation in Raja Ampat. This is a unique vacation!

We stayed 5 days here and loved it! The nearby reef is some of the best we saw anywhere and the mantas out front (practically!) – just amazing. Konstantin and his family are so friendly and accommodating, and we even got some evening music concerts from the brothers. They are working hard building new bungalows and they are looking great. The full day Batanta trip is also highly reccommended. Konstantin is doing great work with his conservation efforts and we were so glad to have met him and enjoyed his lovely homestay.

We had only 3 days on this homestay but was quiet and beautiful. Just be careful where you want to go next as it is a bit remote if you need to get back to an airport. Unfortunately our flight got. changed so we had to leave at 4am. to get to Sorong on time- Konstantinus made it possible on his fast boat but still was close to 4 hours trip across open ocean- not for everyone!
The snorkel along the shore is great, just need to watch the currents. Konstantinus has been doing some mangrove planting to protect the foreshore and have been involved in coral restoration too! Thanks for making our stay wonderful!

The location is a true paradise. Remote what makes it so wonderfull. Konstantinus is a really nice guy.
without a doubt my stay in Dayan was the highlight of my 14 days in Raja Ampat. Diving is more than excellent, food is the best I had out of 5 homestays.
I highly recommand staying here.

We spent 6 nights at Dayan Dive homestay.
I did 2 dives (Manta point and Lemon tip, if I am correct).
We did not see mantas (but that’s nature, it happens!) and missed the dugong only for a couple of meters (it would have been incredible to see it) ! Still, the dives were great with Konstantinus, diving gear was in good condition and safe.
We also took several trips, and I think the highlight was the trip to the waterfall and swimming there (but very slippery, make sure to bring trekking shoes, as advised by Konstantinus) and snorkelling in Urun island (this was a clear highlight, with incredible corral).
At lunch time and dinner, under the dining room over the water, we saw plenty of small black tip sharks, stingrays and a morray eel. The food was very good, again compared to other homestays, and often changing.
Contact with Konstantinus was great (compared to other homestays) because he speaks good english. He also took time to welcome us, explain how things work, check on us if we were ok, show us some pictures of his previous dives, etc…
On the day we left, at 6am, we were delighted to se that they had cooked awesome cakes for us to take away on the boat trip to Waisai (1h40 minutes).
Thanks for everything to Konstantinus and his family !

Hi my friend, thank you very much for visit and stay with us. I hope we meet again.
We spend 5 nights in Dayan and it was truly amazing. The Reef is indeed the best , like is written online. The colours and the variety of the reef totally blown us away. Also we went on a Mantra trip and saw 2 mantras. 1 evening we saw a Manta flying above the water from our terrace which was really cool.
The host and his staff were really welcoming and it was easy to organize trips. Even without 15 minutes it could be arranged. They even took us 2 nights to see coconut crabs! Also the terrace were food was served was really nice, food was always plenty!
Some disadvantages were the dogs that could be quite scary, especially in nights, the trash on the beach, and the fact that the toilet wasnt cleaned too often and sometimes we didnt have toilet paper.
But all in all we would recommend going here, especially to see the amazing Coral Reef and the Mantras

We booked for 4 nights but stayed 3
although the food was pretty good the beds were probably the worst in 4months of traveling but was more important: the reef really didnt look like on the pictures. We got out of our way for the ‚best snorkelling in raja ampat‘ but cant say we found it. The reef was damaged quiet severly at some places and the clearity worst than where we‘ve been so far (kri, mansuar, arborek).
The highlight was swimming with the mantas, who are 1min from the homestay but other then that im afraid i dont see myself coming back and feel like its necessary to update the reviews that were 67 5stars before we checked.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review Nic.
Just a note about the rating summary displayed on homestay pages: The (number) is the total number of reviews for which a star rating was awarded. The stars are the average star rating awarded.
Thanks for you riview, we can make the best in the future. But firts please make review for suport us, is not for brought us down. You stay in our room have bed, another room no bed just you room. So Please dont make wrong review. And about the corals where you snorkeling? So you dont know our the best snorkeling place? So just let you know, We keep you savety until you checkout, so please respect.

I originally booked 4 nights at Dayan, but left a day early because I was feeling disappointed with the snorkeling and accommodations. I was extremely excited for Dayan from the reviews here, but it didn’t live up to the hype for me.
The over water dining was a nice touch because there was a good breeze during meals. Meals included lunch & dinner. A minimal cake at breakfast and no snack. I was surprised there was no hand washing station. (every other homestay I was at had soap and water by the food. feels like a basic sanitary need. this was also the only homestay both my partner and I got sick from the food. we felt lucky to only be sick for 1 day.)
I felt lucky to receive a water front bungalow, there are some set back from the view, so you’re not guaranteed water views. The bedding and bungalow were average. There was only 1 toilet and 1 shower for all guests & there were two times family members were using the toilet when we needed to go (see note about getting sick). Seems like they’re building more bathrooms. Not sure when they will be done.
The biggest disappointment was definitely the snorkeling. The visibility was really low, especially compared to Gam and Mansuar. The currents were so intense we HAD to take boats to see anything outside the reef on the Dayan side. Some people seemed to take a boat across and swim back. You have to time this really well with the tides. It was extremely difficult to swim most times of the day.
I felt the cost for the boat rides was expensive for how far you are taken, especially considering you can’t get to any other part of the area without a boat ride.
Overall the stay was fine, but definitely not worth staying too long.
Thanks for you riview, we can make the best in the future. But for the visibility, we dont have guarantee, because always change every time. So please make logic review.

Stayed 8 nights in beginning of Feb 2024. Best food in raja ampat and helpful owner/staff, who are also very environmentally active. Konstantinus is an excellent dive guide. Many good snorkeling options nearby, however there was alot of sediment (and plankton) reducing visibility. Seven bungalows, not 5. Some overbooking, but it occurs everywhere as raja ampat evolves into the next Bali. Noticible degradation of marine life from visits 6 and 10 years ago.

We spent a week at Dayan Homestay with Konstantinus. We loved the dining pavilion over the water where you can watch the sunset and wildlife (and there was always something if you spend the time to watch…mantas, sharks, families of boxfish…), read in the hammocks, and enjoy fresh coconuts and very nice meals in the breeze. We were in a beach bungalow with a mattress on the floor with very fresh smelling sheets, very comfortable pillows, and a really good mosquito net. There were 2 toilets and 1 mandi shower and it looked like the family was building more facilities.
The star of the show here was the snorkelling and activities. House reef snorkelling is super easy access and the only reason we didn’t stay in the water more than 2 hours at a time is we got a bit chilly and pruny! There is so much to see, so much that it’s impossible to take everything in in one go and it’s worth exploring the reef as much as you can. We also snorkelled at Manta Point, Dugong Corner, and Urun Island. Both times we went to Manta Point, we saw Mantas and had plenty of time to swim with them. Urun Island is special! We also went on the waterfall trek and visited the village twice, once for new year’s – the warmth and friendliness of the people, THE MUSIC and dancing…all so very special. Konstantinus speaks fluent English, is very knowledgeable, and aims to fulfil all the guests’ wishes. It’s a lot of work and he really does all he can. Thank you, Konstantinus!

We stayed 10 days at this special place of paradise. The time with Konstantinus and his family at one of the most pristine coral reef sites is a time to keep in our heart.
The snorkeling and diving spots are great and within short distance. Even from the restaurant you can see mantas, dolphins, blacktipped sharks and turtles on the water surface. We even spotted a dugong with a fellow’s flying drone! From the beach you may spot walking sharks.
Snorkelling already offers amazing encounters with the very divers marine life. Diving is organized professionally. Both, Konstantinus and his brother Stanley, are very competent and patient diving guides. They ensure a good diving experience for us and from what we see they can also make beginner divers comfortable under water. We brought our own diving equipment.
The place, however, is more than its underwater jewel. The heart beat is the one by the Family, who live and work for the conservation of their island and nature. They work with a smile and here and then a good traditional song playing guitar and ukulele. It is a family business, where even the smallest kids are helping with a smile.
Konstantinus is happy to share the culture of Batantan people. We were invited to his village for Christmas and New Year. It was a heart warming experience to celebrate with the lovely and welcoming people from Yensawai.
We highly recommend staying and diving with Dayans Homestay. From what we see, the visit is supporting the conservation of the site through management by Konstantinus and his family.
Thank you Konstaninus and family for your commitment and efforts!

I stayed 6 nights and had absolutely wonderful dives – day and night. One day while diving alone with Konstantinus at Manta Point, the Mantas were swooping over my head and coming so close. I was having eye contact with them. There were no other divers there. Konstantinus stayed out of my line of sight, so that I could feel alone with the Mantas, that was so, so special. He explained this to me later!. Thank you for that Konstantinus! The night dives were also wonderful! The food was good (especially the Tempe!).
We also saw the coconut crabs on a couple of night walks.
The island is very remote, but that makes it special. The children at the homestay were so beautifully behaved, kind and helpful.
Konstantinus and his family are trying their best to maintain a piece of paradise. Thank you!

We stayed 6 days in dayan dive homestay.
The highlight for us was the house reef which is in very good condition. The owner Konstantinus is living conservation. There is a video about him here: https://youtu.be/ee-ArJRIsyo
Thank you so much my friend, thanks for visit us, we hope we meet you again, and we always can do our the best service for all of you

We stayed 10 Days at Dayan Dive Homestay and had a really great time! The remote place provides a unique atmosphere.
The food was among the best we had in Raja Ampat and the people are very helpful and caring. The cabins are very basic but clean and are offering a great view in the morning and especially in the evening.
Snorkeling at the housereef and the near Manta Point are absolutely awesome and the offered tours were great aswell (with even better reefs to visit). They even lured some coconut crabs for us to see in the nearby forest one evening.
Diving was great aswell and the guides are passionate. Especially if you are a macro enthusiast, they will be happy to find all the beautyful nudibranches, flatworms and seahorses for you. Only the rental equipment is rare and could need some maintenance, so If possible, better bring your own.
All in all we can definetly recommend the Homestay and we are sure the owners will improve the divecenter as it was just set up.
Thank you so much my friend, you already visit us, we hope we meet you again, and we always can do our the best service for all of you

Thank you so much my friend, you already visit us, we hope we meet you again, and we always can do our the best service for all of you
We had a great time at Dayan. The homestay is located on a small island with the best house reef I’ve seen in my 3 weeks stay in Raja Ampat. Perfect for snorkeling or diving. The manta point is right in front of the homestay (I do recommend going by boat because of the currents), we’ve seen manta’s every day for a week!
The restaurant is beautifully located on the water. Everyday we saw sharks, rays and turtles passing underneath the restaurant. Food is the best we had and was always plenty. I also recommend going on a day trip with Konstantin, he knows good snorkelling places and can show the local villages!

Stayed 4 nights end of Oct.
Absolutely amazing.
Owner cares so much for area. Does his best to conserve area
Best snorkeling and live corals I saw during trip.
Must stay here if visiting Raja ampat.

Beautiful island and great homestay. Loved the overwater patio where there’s always a fresh breeze and amazing sunsets.
The best snorkeling I did after staying 4 places in Raja Ampat. Seeing the mantas was an amazing experience.
By far the best part of the stay was getting to know Konstantinus and learning about his conservation efforts and the local culture. And the great mini-concerts at night!
Thank you so much Konstantinus and family, hope to come back one day!!

Dayan homestay has the best reefs for snorkeling. Anna’s garden and Secret garden, Manta point are very close only 10 min away with the boat. Secret garden is like friwen wall but bigger and much more beautiful.
The overwater place for dinner was very nice to sit. We enjoyed the sunsets. The food was good except for the breakfast was not good. Always the same kind fluocake.
The stay was somewhat less comfortable. The mattresses really need to be renovated. our back were badly bitten by bedbugs. There was a lot of noise from the construction works, the filling of the scubatanks. 4G is not working, sometimes when you are lucky you can send a message. When we arrive at Waisai the pickup was not there and we were not able the reach somebody at the homestay. Somebody of the stay raja ampat organisation was there to help us but he could not contact Dayan homestay. After a hour waiting and not knowing somebody would come the bother show up at the pickup point. At the end we arrived well at Dayan completely wet but that’s part of the adventure after a fairly rough sea with a lot of wind.
Dayan island is definitely worth a visit. the coral is so intact and beautiful. Dugongs were many times seen here. An excursion to Urun island for snorkeling is a must do. The housereefs are very accesible from the beach, and behind the homestay there is a trail leading to the other side of the island. Lots of soft coral, sharks, turtles, pipefish, nudibranch etc…

Given our short one-week stay in Raja Ampat, we originally planned to only be at Gam Island, but when I came across information about Dayan Dive Homestay, I decided that we would definitely go there.
Our stay at Dayan’s was unforgettable! The island is very beautiful, I would say – fabulous! The house reef is an amazing coral garden teeming with life!
Konstantin and his family are lovely and did everything to make us feel comfortable! The food was wonderful, varied and plentiful.
We did a fantastic diving with Konstantin in Melissa’s Garden near Piaynemo. Konstantin also accompanied us on the impressive snorkeling around Rufus island and in the Secret Garden quite close to Dayan’s. The Secret Garden is a small rock passage where we saw the most colorful corals we have ever seen. A charming place! Without Konstantin, we wouldn’t have seen it.
Before going to Dayan’s, we had WhatsApp communication with Konstantin and I was impressed by his good English. Later we found out that our lovely host turned out to be a highly educated man with a diplomatic degree in International Relations!
Konstantin, thank you very much for your warm hospitality and attention! We will definitely come again!

We had an incredible holiday with Konstantine, Stanley and their family. Konstantine spoke flawless English and helped us to understand the culture, under water world and island lifestyle of West Papau.
The house reef at Dayan was some of the best snorkling we have ever done. Turtles, manta ray, black tip sharks, moray eels and coral gardens, beautifully untouched and unspoiled.
Konstantine also took us to different locations to snorkle. Stanley is an expert skipper and took us across the Dampier Strait in the most treacherous water to Pieyanemo and brought us safely back. They call themselves “The Ocean Boys” and their understanding of the sea makes it clear why.
The brothers even took us handline fishing which we loved. I caught a fish and they barbecued it on the fire for us that evening. There was always more than enough food and a great variety. The food in remote Dayan was better than some of the more touristy islands we visited.
Bungalows are basic but everything you need. Palau Dayan is in need of a good clean up. Just like else where in West Papau there is sadly a lot of plastic on the island.
Our highlight was a sighting of a Wobbegong shark on a snorkle excursion with Konstantine.
All in all paradise for anyone interested in marine biodioversity and conservation.

Danke!

Our group of six spent three nights at this homestay in July 2023, where we were warmly welcomed by Konstantin, Hendrik, Brahim, and their family.
– THE PEOPLE & ACCOMODATION-
Their efforts to rehabilitate and conserve Batanta Island, their home, were inspiring, and they graciously shared these experiences with us. They facilitated not only our dives but also guided us through their village and also accompanied us to the waterfalls. Their heartfelt involvement made us feel like we were genuinely part of the community.
The accommodations at Dayan were nothing short of top-tier. The clean, spacious, and comfortable lodgings, all offering stunning beach views, were exceptionally maintained. The lush green surroundings evoked the sensation of a jungle stay. Although the toilet facilities were basic, they were kept spotlessly clean and sufficiently served our small group.
The meals at Dayan outstripped our highest expectations. Each day we were spoilt for choice with a minimum of five dishes alongside rice, impressing us with their variety and delectability. The service was also beyond compare, culminating in the best dining experience of our trip.
– DIVING & EXCURSIONS-
Our diving adventures focused mainly around Dayang Island, avoiding any far-off ventures at this point in our journey. The organization was impeccable, with Brahim proving to be a fantastic dive guide and Hendrik ensuring top-notch equipment. Our day excursion to the village and waterfall hikes were delightful. We got to even participate in a church mass at the village on Sunday at the village. On our final day, the team went above and beyond in their attempts to locate the elusive Dugong, efforts for which we’re deeply grateful.
Our deepest thanks to Konstantin, Hendrik, Brahim, and family for an exceptionally memorable stay. We earnestly urge you to keep up your incredible rehabilitation efforts. We eagerly look forward to our next visit!

Paradise!!!
We spent 7 awesome days at Dayan. Hospitality, pick-up, bungalow, food and the excursions (especially the hours-long snorkelling with Konstantinus) was excellent. The coral is outstanding (best of Raja Ampat), a lot of fish and especially Mantas!! Take care of it!
Thank you so much Konstantinus abd family!! We hope to be back soon

We stay 5 nights there, and enjoy it. Beautiful place, beautiful reef with hard and colourful soft coral, and the nearby manta spot.

The house reef is spectacular and the most beautiful we have seen. Just because of this it is worth going there. Beautiful views from Bungalows and very relaxing and calm environment.
Negative aspects what we have experienced:
-When we arrived there was no fresh drinking water. The one which was provided was contaminated with insects and worms.
-The food variety is not very big.
– we fixed a time and day to go snorkeling with the mantas. At the certain time we were ready to go but have been told that they cannot go now as they have left with the boat to go to the village. So they cancelled our trip. This was very unrespectful.
– on the last day our breakfast has been forgotten
– the worst was our boat transfer to the next island. We asked 3 times if it is safe to go with the small longboard. And have been told yes. It was the most dangerous ride. The boat nearly flipped over. The engine was not strong enough and the sea was to crowded.
– no hammocks are provided and there is no direct access to go swimming as written in the description.
We Already give you the best service, until you checkout. And now you give us gift, bad reviews. Thank you

We recently stayed at Dayan. The food was great except there was only cake for breakfast which is not my preference. The reef there is incredible. Most coral varieties I have ever seen-beautiful. Konstintin took us to snorkel with mantas and to the secret garden of soft corals (very close to homestay).

I stayed 5 nights at Dayan homestay and it was well worth the long trip. Very nice hosts. Food was good and abundant. At that time only 3 bungalows were occupied, really quiet. The house reef is very nice with lots of healthy coral and fish, turtles and reefsharks. They really make an effort to make the most of the snorkeling trips to Secret Garden and Manta Point. Strong swimmmers could go there on their own if it wasn’t for the strong tidal currents. Found a lot of plastic on the housereef, so bring a small net/bag to collect it.

In March 23 we did stay 7 days at Dayan Homestay and it was perfect for us. The snorkeling was wunderful including Mantas directly in front of our Bungalow and Wobbegongs at the closeby reef. And the nearby snorkelspot Secret Garden ist not from this world including Nudibranchs and a lot more. The food at the homestay was really tasty with lots of fruit and fish and served on a wunderful overwater sunset terrace. Konstantinus was a perfect helpful host and a great snorkelguide. Ok, there were some mosquitos in the evening but you can use repellent. So the only negative point was some rubbish in the djungle around the homestay which was flown in by a storm some month ago.

In august 2022 we stayed 5 days and 4 nights with Constantine and his family on Dayan. Still getting a smile on our face remembering the nice people, the coral and fish, the food, the efforts to protect the nature. Still grateful.

Dayan Homestay was amazing. We stayed here 5 days and it was wonderful. The dining area is super nice and the food was the best we had in raja, they cook with coconut butter and the taste is splendid. Facilities are good and they even build new ones. In Batanta diving is not so common yet with the homestays but Constantinus got some gear and has a guide in his family. They will develop diving there and the reefs are just beautiful. Max 3 min boat and you got a manta point, several reefs and even Chances to spot the dugongs. We definetly loved it and will come back to dayan Homestay.

We loved Dayan homestay. We did some great excursions to see manta rays, the pearl farm and lovely coral. The bungalows have been mindfully decorated with lovely shells and artwork. Food was the best we had in Raja Ampat. Thank you!

If you like remote and basic places, Dayan homestay is great for you! We liked the wild vibe of the nature and ocean. The dinning area is amazing as well. The food was one of the best we have had in Raja Ampat! A lot of choices. Just the breakfast could be better.
The snorkeling is good further down the beach. Seen some pretty epic corals!
The bungalow was not as comfy as it could be. It was very basic. There were also a lot of noisy little insects during the night which was quite annoying to sleep with. The homestay area could be a bit more clean.

Fantastic stay at Dayan Homestay! 5 days here in August 2022. Konstantine and his family were amazing hosts, with the best food I had in Raja Ampat, a truly amazing house reef, and clean, comfortable bungalows. He also teaches eco- conservation to children at his nearby village, and loves it if guests are interested to participate in his coral restoration and mangrove planting projects. Highly recommended 🙂

Dayan homestay made me feel like a king. Konstantinus is a conscientious and thoughtful host. The food is fantastic, lots of BBQ’d whole fish and filets with sambal sauce, sometimes there are 3 choices of vegetables, lots of fruit and home baked tasty cake, for breakfast as requested a fried egg omelet, thanks. There is always the joyful sounds of children playing and singing with guitar or ukelele accompaniment, there is an amazing amount of positive energy here. There is a long beach for walks and the grounds are well kept. The coral is awesome and is extensive with many sea creatures. There is also beautiful coral on the island in front, 10 minutes by boat. Thanks Konstantinus, maybe I will see you next year.

We stayed seven nights at Dayan in January (sorry for not writing earlier). We loved Dayan from the beginning. The bungalows are nicely decorated with shells and some of them even with orchids. The family is charming. The children were happily playing, but they also loved to help their parents bringing hot water or food. Food was delicious and various.
The eating room was our favourite place – a huge over water house, many sharks swimming by in the shallow water. After dinner, when everybody agreed to switch off the lights, the starry sky was overwhelming and in the breaking waves plankton was glowing. Magic! We also loved to swim over the passage to another small island with a manta point. Also, the excursions the pearl farm, to secret garden and to Pianyemo were a pleasure. The only thing we didn’t like was, that for two nights there were more than 30 people. Even they managed well, it was not what we like at a remote place. As in most other places, we were happy to have our own mosquito net.

I spent two nights in the Dayan Homestay. My friends and I are thrilled with this homestay and its owner, Constantinus. The homestay is very well kept, all the stilts have a name, paintings made with natural materials, sand and shells representing sea animals, they are attached to the walls, the beds are equipped with mosquito nets, each stilt house has its veranda, the stretch of sea in front of which are the stilts has a beautiful coral reef. Constantinus is very attentive to the well-being of its guests, always checks that lunch and dinner are well served, eating is good and abundant. He is an always smiling boy, who also accompanies you on sea excursions, a very good guide. I would call him an excellent manager. In short, it is a place that I recommend where I hope to return.

Dayan honestly is a nice spot on the way to Pam islands. The homestay is professionally run, super clean and the food is great.
We were just very disappointed with the boat prices. We paid 1,5 million Rp for a boat to Pam island, which took only 30 minutes. Our friends who left a few days earlier paid half the prize and after enquiring about the boat prices at Pam islands this is how much we would pay if we took a boat from there. Also they tried to ask for 300000 rp for secret garden and manta point by suggesting that it’s because of visiting two spots , when the day before we was told it’s 100000 each for the trip ( which is two minutes away by boat ). Besides this it’s a nice place but please clarify correct boat prices as it’s leaves a sour taste.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review Jane.
The prices published on homestay pages are exactly as supplied to the Homestay Association by the homestay concerned. Prices can be easily updated by homestays: All it takes is a phone call, so there’s no excuse for not advertising correct prices.
Guests should never be asked to pay more than published prices and are encouraged to refuse to do so!

Thanks for you comment
But, i think our all price already in stay raja ampat website.

We really enjoyed the 4 nights we stayed at dayan. The location is beautiful and the reef is stunning, probably the most beautiful of any of the house reefs we saw during our trip to raja ampat. The bungalow was clean and located steps from the ocean. The food was great with freshly barbecued fish each evening. The dining area is located overwater and has blacktips circling underneath. The only thing I’d say is that for one of the nights we were there there were too many guests due to 2 large groups arriving. Prior to this and once they had left it was paradise.
Konstantin and his family were great hosts, and my daughter had a great time playing with the other children. The nearby manta point and secret garden are great as was the reasonably priced trip to piaynemo. If the tides are right it is possible to snorkel all along the beach and then cross the channel to the mantas but great care needs to be taken with the state of the currents.

I just read all the reviews and obviously I can also say like all the people that got the chance to stay a few days in Dayan homestay that this is a place that you would never want to leave. Thank you Konstantinus for making me feel so good. You made me feel cuddled in place that will stay forever in my heart. Thanks also to your wife for the great food she cooked for us. Thanks to all the team for your unique kindness. I left Dayan homestay yesterday and I’m already waiting for the day I will be able to visit you again.
All the best to all of you!

Dayan homestay is at beautiful location, peaceful place and offers outstanding snorkelling just in front of the bungalows!
Bungalows are spacious, clean and basic. Shower and toilet are ok. However, there are so much more bungalows than it says on the website, we were little surprised of that, because we waited for small quiet place, but in the end it didnt bother us, because ambiance was so nice.
Food is really good and there is enough of it.
Something to say to improve the homestay: boat ride prices were very overpriced and they didnt make any sense. For example ”manta point snorkelling” trip cost us 100k idr per person and there were 10 people on boat and boat ride took 2 to 3 minutes. So 1 million for that were so much over priced.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review Anna 🙂
All those new bungalows you see at Dayan actually belong to a neighbour who is not on the website yet. (You’re quite correct about those irrational trip prices though!)

Dayan Homestay is a very special place. The location is beautiful and the family are wonderful. Constantine and his family are honest, hard working and welcoming. The lodging and food are standard, but the overall experience of a stay at Dayan is exceptional. After three nights we were sad to leave!
I think other reviews have covered the highlights and experiences well, but one thing I’d like to point out is Constantine’s commitment to his guests’ safety and comfort on day trips. When snorkeling there were always two family members with us: a guide and a ‘safety’ spotter who you didn’t really notice but who was always keeping an eye on everyone. We stayed at a “5 star” dive resort during our time in Raja and I can say that we felt safer with Constantine and his team then we did at the resort. And yes, the snorkeling around Dayan is amazing.

Me and my group (11 people) had a wonderful experience in this homestay. The great and warm hospitality of the Saleo family is something that will always stay in our hearts. We had the best food of all Raja Ampat (stille remember the aubergines in a sweet sauce), we made wonderful trips with Costantinus (he made snorkeling with us, which was a great plus!) and we enjoyed one of the best location (very close to Manta Point and the Dugongo corner which is a coral wonderland). If you go there do not miss the trip to the local “original” village. People and children are wonderful. Unforgettable experience and thanks again to Costantinus.

What an outstanding fabulouse time we had at Dayan Homestay last November and definitely the most beautiful place we stayed on our this years´ Raja Ampat trip. First of all – the hospitality of the whole Saleo family – you all are really great! The evenings out on the overwater restaurant, sunset with all colours in your face, enjoying fresh fish with incredible sambal goreng, surrounded by sharks (big hug to sharkman freddy!) and rays was not to beat. And the charming and heartful presence of Konstantinus tops everything – we love your smiling, your songs and also how you fight for nature the way you do. Very inspiring guy! The sea around Dayan Island is packed with life, corals in best condition, all kinds of fish swirling around you, sharks and turtles all the time, wobbegong, seasnake…Dayan is a maritime wonderland. And of course like nowhere else – snorkeling with the majestic mantas! Hopeso everybody who is going there cares for their environment with full respect!

Dear
Is diving possible to arrange from the homestay?
Regards Chris
Hi Chris
Diving is not available at Dayan Homestay.
If diving is available at a homestay, it will say so in the “Features” section of the Homestay page.
If you want to dive, then it’s best to stay at a place with an on-site dive center.

My family stayed at Dayan Homestay for 3 nights in November and it was great! The homestay is increadibly welcoming and everything is built with much love to detail and care. The food was good with fresh fish but also vegetarian friendly options every day. There was also fresh cake every day. The snorkeling around the island is breathtaking with beautiful, untouched reefs. Additionally, further trips to other reefs and a Manta cleaning station were organized without any problems. This was our favorite homestay on our trip and we’re hoping to be back soon!

We spent a few excellent days at the Dayan HS in late October thanks to great hospitality demonstrated by Konstantinus and his family. He is a very kind person and good musician and his mother is a very good cook. We had delicious fish almost every day and a big variety of vegetables. Our boat trips to a nearby pearl farm and Secret Garden of corals were very interesting and exciting. Ironically, we did not see mantas, but made a nice video of a wobbegong shark. We wish Konstantinus and his family a very merry Christmas and happy 2020 and hope to visit their homestay again.
Hi Stanislav and Ilona
Thank you so much, for visit our homestay, we hope you back again.

I’m Alberto. Last November I was with my group of 12 people at this homestay and we spent three pleasant nights.
The place is really beautiful, with a pier where you can watch spectacular sunsets. The bungalows are spacious, with a nice veranda and are facing the sea. Four of us unfortunately had to stay in two small and dark rooms with a tiny veranda, located in a bungalow behind, inside the garden. For all the guests present in the homestay there are two wc and two bathrooms with mandi. Missing some small shelf and a pair of nails to hang the towel and the bathing suit. The bungalow where meals are served is at the end of a pier, above the water. Missing an extra table and benches to sit on. The food is excellent and more than sufficient. Konstantinus and his staff are really kind. They accompanied us on various excursions and always snorkeled with us. What else to say? It was a great choice to stay at the Dayan Homestay. Thanks again for all that you have made us live.

If you wanna get away from everything and be one with nature in a beautiful surrounding , don’t look any further!
Super friendly hosts, sharks cruising underneath the restaurant and manta’s a very short boat ride away.

Wonderful place with wonderful people.
Bungalows are spacious, clean, comfortable with a big terrasse sea view. Toilet and mandi clean. Food – the best! Grilled fishes, veggies and fruit at each meal, freshly baked cakes was delicious.
We only spent three nights at Dayan and really wished we’d had more.
Huge variety of soft and hard corals just nearby homestay. So colourful and beautiful and Manta Point so close.
Well organized trip to Pulau Wai and Pulau Urun, magic lunch on the Beach 🙂
Thank you Constantinus and guys for the great time, hope we will come back one Day.
Highly recommended 🙂
Cudowne miejsce z cudowną atmosferą i ludźmi.
Bungalowy obszerne z dużym tarasem z widokiem na ocean. Dwa oddzielne sanitariaty, czyste i przestrzenne.
Jadalnia na wodzie, gdzie rano i wieczorem można było zobaczyć dużo rekinów rafowych. A nocą przepieknie rozgwiezdzone niebo.

This is Dan and Jennifer who stayed in lovely Dayan homestay for 3 days at middle October 2019. Of the 4 homestays we stayed in Batanta island this homestay is simply the best 🙂
Konstantinus is an well-educated, intelligent and warmhearted man. We spent quite some time chatting about everything and I am really moved by his love for island life and sadness about Papua people’s loss in fight for justice and freedom
Lots of attention has been put to details of the accommodation and the decoration is rather artful. The food is simply the best among the five homestays we visited over two years, with ample fresh fish barbecued in tasty sauce and moist cake every single afternoon.
Konstantinus is a keen snorkeler and can point you to some of the best snorkeling spots around the homestay. Morning snorkeling is better with great visibility and mild current which tends to be rather strong after lunch
Thank you Konstantinus for everything. Hopefully we can come back soon and explore together the secret southern shores of Batanta island 🙂

My wife and I stayed in Raja Ampat for 2 weeks – 6 days we spent in Dayan Homestay.
Simply put it was amazing – Konstantinus and his family were warm, welcoming and incredibly thoughtful. Nothing was a problem, we spent the days snorkeling off the beach, thre most spectacular vibrantly coloured coral and so many different types of fish. We also were able to see many large fish, a manta ray and sharks. We spent time swimming and relaxing on the beaches as well as in the hammock of our beautiful beach side hut.
The other stand out was the food – Konstantinus’s sister prepared the most delicious local style food 3 -4 vegetables and 1-2 fish for lunch and dinner each day, lovely fresh fruit fit dessert! We were spoiled with a rotating selection of morning and afternoon tea cakes.
It was a magical place that words cannot do justice to, we will be sure to return, thank you!
Important to note:
The currents were very strong in parts and good fins were required.
No cash changing or ATM bring extra for boat trips etc
many mosquitoes and lots of bright sun – bring heaps of sunscreen and insect repellent
the boat ride over from Wasai was quite long and on the day very rough and wet – an experience!

Dayan, the last paradise on earth. Imagine a secluded island in the middle of the ocean overgrown by coconut palm trees, surrounded by manta rays, dugongs, orcas and long white sandy beaches. Where ever you enter the sea you will be immersed into incredibly collorful and reach corral life. You will share this island only with an amazing family of 7 guys (the island boys) and their mother. If you allow it, they will make it your best holiday ever!
They will take you to the sercret coral garden, majestic waterfall, misterious mangrove forest, picturesque little islands (Wai, Urun) and introduce you to the local comunity. You can even go fishing the traditional way with them and the best thing, they will teach you how to sing traditional Papuan songs, not to mention a fresh fish every night from the amazing kitchen of their mother. Go there, you won’t regret it. It will be the best time of your life!

What to say…. Everything was already said in previous comments. The homestay is stunning, bungalows are spacious, clean, comfortable, with moscquito nets provided. Toilet and mandi clean. Food – the best! And aboundant… Boys are extremly kind, helping and funny. We had amazing time singing with them. We even went fishing with them (sorry for the fishing line, Gab, again… :-)). They offer large possibility of different boat trips to near islands. Batanta waterfall is one of the must see points. Not to mention Urun and Wai island. Definitely highly reccomended. We will come back!

We only had two nights at Dayan and really wished we’d had more. What a great place! The ambience of the homestay is really lovely, from the artistic touches to the over-the-water dining room where you can watch sharks cruising the waters or relax in the hammock. There’s a lot to do nearby but you’re also able to see a lot just from the homestay. Snorkeling was great further up from the old jetty. We saw manta rays playing from the beach. Lots of bird life. Food was good and plentiful – veggies and fruit at each meal. We really liked Constantinus, the host, and his family. He is a great guy to talk to. Sadly, plastic is a real problem even in this remote spot. Even so, if we ever make it back to Raja Ampat, Dayan will be our first stop.

We stayed in 4 different homestays in Raja Ampat and Dayan was our very favourite!
The overwater dining area is just amazing – you can linger in a hammock and enjoy the ocean panorama and spectacular sunset views with a refreshing breeze always blowing along, while you can sea black tip reef sharks wandering below you throught the turquoise waters.
The manta point is just around the corner, infront of the island. Snorkeling at Secret garden and Dugong point has some amazing coral gardens.
Food was very tasty and the variaty was just outstanding, for a single meal we once got 4 different vegetable dishes, one fish and one tofu dish (just for two of us).
Cottages where clean and nice and the whole area was kept well.
Constantinus and his family and friends where great hosts and showed us the surounding reefs and islands.
Thank you guys for the great time, hope we will come back one day!
Ps.: the hammocks are the best I ever saw, made of a thick carpet like fabrik, much more comfortable than normal ones we had at other places.

Thank you guys for the great time, hope we will come back one day!
Ps.: the hammocks are the best I ever saw, made of a thick carpet like fabrik, much more comfortable than normal ones we had at other places.
Beautiful place. Healthy corals, lots of fishes. At Mantapoint which is only about 5 minutes by boat you can always see mantas.
Food was good always with vegetables and also fruits.

I stayed 8 nights in march in Dayan homestay, and…the previous comments say it all.
Lovely bungalows, tastefully decorated,
clean mandi and toilet.
I loved to shower in the open mandi: the sun is warming the water container and the little hermitcrabs are moving everywhere on the pebblefloor.
Food ? Yes, perfect, a lot of different veggies two times a day , plus fish, plus tofu, plus tempeh, plus eggs for me ( vegetarian ).
And freshly baked cake, and snacks, and fruits.
Dayan boat is going nearly every second day to Waisai for fresh food, and it is a long way.
Snorkeling : less fish than on Kri island, but wonderful corals.
They are still in very good condition, but for how long?
Liveaboard boats anchor everyday in front of the door and spit their lot of unexperienced divers and snorkelers stepping on the corals to make a selfie…..
Enjoy the paradise as long as it still exists.
Thank you Konstantinus and the boys for bringing me to the mantas and to secret garden.
Thank you for my lovely snorkeling tour on the opposite side of Dayan .
For Konstantinus:
I hope to come back one day to listen to you, playing Halleluia on the new Ukulele left by your friends.
Bye bye and singing Halleluia, just like that sunday when we left Dayan.

We spent 5 nights at this paradise out of a 15 days trip to Raja Ampat.
Konstantinus and the his family are extremely friendly and have a beautiful story to tell about Dayan Island.
The cottages are very spacious, carefully decorated and with a big terrasse sea view. It was great to help decorating our one, since it’s one of the 2 new bungalows built!
The toilette was always very clean and equipped.
The food was great. Always with fish and big variety of vegetables. Don’t miss the banana dumps, in the morning or in the afternoon snack – just delicious!
The place is a real paradise on Earth! Huge variety of soft and hard corals just in front of the hotel. So colourful! Try to go to the left side of the pension, cross the beautiful white sand beach hidden between two rock formations and go to the edge of the island, with an extreme beautiful coral and more fishes! You can also cross the small island walking and get into the water on the other side. We managed to swim around the island, which was great!
Regarding activities, the Manta point is a blessing. We spent more than one hour in the water looking at these magic animals!
The waterfall in Batanta is also so beautiful! But be aware: it’s a long boat trip, specially when it’s windy. And the hike is also not that easy. But it’s all worth it. Great time with Konstantinus and the boys. We loved to visit their village as well. And great stop by at the pearl farm, with some dolphins on our way back to the island. Amazing day!
Thank you so much for the warm welcome and positive vibrations. As soon as we go back home, we will send you the flags as promised!!
Hope to see you again. Enjoy and protect paradise boys!

We stayed with Konstantinius and his family mid February 2019.
The food was the best by far of the 5 homestays we stayed at during our 4 weeks in Raja Ampat! There was fresh and varied fruit everyday, which was a real treat!
The snorkeling was some of the finest although you really need to go with the boat to see the best places. The boat is very reasonably priced for the trips near the island!
We especially enjoyed the reef across the water from Dayan and the Secret Garden, which showcases a superb range of all types of colorful attached underwater organisms such as sea squirts,, crinoids, tunicata, soft corals, nudibranchs and anenomes along with hordes of associated little fish. If you enjoy macro, this place is for you!
There is also a manta feeding station directly in front of Dayan, We went out with Konstantinius in the boat and were able to watch the mantas hovering over certain coral mounds which were the home of cleaning wraisses that eagerly swim all around the mantas, cleaning their incredibly smooth skin.
Alas, our journey to Dayan Homestay ended too soon and we said goodbye ,hoping to return again next year.

My favourite homestay in all of RA. Konstantinus and his family are so lovely. They built a campfire on the beach as a farewell party on our last day! The food was good, lots of vegetables and fruit. Bungalows and showers clean. The house reef is fabulous (turtles, nudibrances, sharks, napoleon fish) and there are several other reefs to explore nearby with mantas and dugongs (10/15 mins by boat). If you can, go and visit Yenyaar which is one of the last traditionally built villages in RA.

There is not much to add to previous comments. The place is simply fantastic, we eat very well and the snorkelling is nice. Beware of strong currents, but with Constantinus you will always be in excellent hands. Highly recommended

I stayed with this great family for two weeks and had a fantastic time. There is great snorkelling. The young men who run the place have put a lot of thought into making the huts very inviting and relaxing. They are kind and honest and a lot of fun. For example when I showed up without a reservation they were full but they set about building me my own private campsite w a good tent and then they wheelbarrowed loads of sand for a pad to rest it on in the beautiful forest…and a hammock!! Also really nice food. A wonderful place!!

I stayed in Dayan homestay for one week and the place was amazing. Konstantinus and his family are great and very helpful, the place is well kept and clean. Food is good, also some barbecue fish and plenty of fruit. Also cakes in the afternoon. The communication is perfect and Kostantinus is always ready to help and bring you to do trips around the island, that is so beautiful and peaceful.

we spent five wonderful days with constantinus and his family the coral around the guesthouse is very beautiful, and we could observe mantas. I recommend this homestay on this small, secluded and peaceful island. The meals are good and hearty

The Dayan Homestay is exactly what we want. With a lot of love for the environment, the tourists and the sea dwellers. The bungalows are clean, everything is very well maintained. The food was always rich and delicious. The house reef is great! Wonderful soft corals on the one hand and great hard corals on the other. There are many Nudibranches to see, the Mantapoint is only 200 meters but with a little luck the Mantas also play on the doorstep. We’ve been to some homestays in recent years, and Dayan is sure a Nr. 1!

I stayed at Dayan Homestay for 5 days in mid-December and it was excellent in terms of bungalow, food, excursions organised by Stenglin and co. The food was perhaps the best I had in the four Homestays I stayed in during my trip – included delicious banana cake at tea-time, and great varieties of fish and vegetables.
I am a novice snorkeller, but the corals and fish there were wonderful (including Manta Rays), and probably the best I saw in Raja Ampat.
The setting – on your own tropical island – is worth the boat-ride from Waisai.

Dayan homestay is snorkling HEAVEN! Entering point is where old jetty is. There is so much life underwater. We even swimm on the other side to see mantas, but the current is very strong so we end up been pick up by papua divers boat. We had good time, sow 3 mantas but for obvious reasons I can’t recommend you doing that and anyways, Konstantin and the boy can take you there.
You can swimm on the other side of island and enjoy underwater world.
On the low tide there are healthy corals sticking out of weather. It’s just mind blowing.
The little cottage is just everything you need on those tipe of Robinson Crusoe vacations, it even has a bit of artistic touch , so far us it was just perfect romantic getaway.
The food was one of the best we had in RA, with at least 4 different tipe of veggie. An afternoon homemade cake or something sweet was always aviable.
And we had a lot of funny going on hill to try to catch a signal. I find it extremely good to be able to get the signal but just when you really need to and you have to put an effort to get it. Adervise one might end up spending his/her vacations in such a paradise just sitting on internet. 🙂
And DAYAN homestay has a sad story as well. The old jetty was a patrol station of Konstantin’s father, environmentalist looking out for dinamit fishing and illegal wood cuting. He was murdered for that reason. This bay is so unspeakably beautiful that it would be tragedy to destroy it. There is massive problem of plastic trash wich is brought by currents, mainly from Sorong. When I was there the beach was full of it so with Rafael we collected 5 big bags in cleaning just around the homestay. But if you go more further you will know what I am talking about. So the problem is huge. And the guys need our help.

Dear Underwater Lover: This is THE place for SNORKELLING.
1. star for beeing welcome: Stengelin and staff member Ben came to fetch us on the minute agreed in Pam. All the young men Constantin, Stengelin, Raphael, Gilbert, Ben and the two Mamas in the kitchen were friendly and helpful.
2. star: Accomodation was new and very clean. There are a lot of lovely decoration details.
3. star: Food was abundant and more variant than in many other places. We got sambal and fruits (they drive extra for the group of 6 guests 2.5h to Waisai) upon request.
4. The housereef is full of healthy soft corrals.
5. Trips: Just next to Dayan is a small island with a Manta cleaning station. The liveabords anchoring in the bay are noisy and while divers from the resorts and the liveabords are on the cleaner station manta are shy. If you are there on your on just take the time to wait the divers to go on the boat- maybe the mantas come back. The young men come with you to the water looking for the mantas- perfect.
We stayed in Dayan Homestay in Beginning of december. In our 5 weeks in RA visiting more than 10 homestays we realize how difficult it is to choose them upon the comments. We try to give one star for each: beeing welcome by the staff/owners, accomodation/cleanness, food, housereef and trips.

We spend 5 days at Dayan in march 2018. Due to our sms contact Konstan came to Rawe Rawe to take us to Dayan. Also a beautiful place. We were staying in two bungalows, another two are under construction. The reef is beautiful, we were lucky to see the mantas and were shown some beautiful places on the batanta-coast nearby. Let Konstan, who speeks good english but is willing to support you to improve your bahasa, show you the snorkeling spots. He is a very nice and helpful person, and the family will take good care of you. Very good food also! Highly recommended! Don´t forget to plant a palmtree in the “kebun teman”! Thanks Konstan for all, we hope to come back soon to stay longer (tampa infeksi telinga..)

we visited dayang for a week end of february. it was wonderful!! immeasurable marvelous variety of shapes and colors of live
in these coral reefs! even a dugong was around. and the friendly caring saleo family opened even our feel for their ancient tradition of the biak ocean nomads . .
after a rough boat ride through storm and rain konstan said with a big smile:
” we are island boys, since generations. the ocean is our mattress, the waves our pillows and the wind our blanket. that is, what our ancestors taught us. ”
thank you so much! we wish to come back.
Thank you for sharing Konstan’s words about being “island boys”. That is incredibly beautiful. A cultural gem to be treasured!

We stayed for 5 nights from February 19. While we were there, the second bungalow was completed. A third one is being built nearby by a different branch of the family. No sign of a dining room yet.
The view from the original bungalow is fantastic, with Pianemo and Fam in the distance. We were very well looked after and the food was good. Konstantinus speaks fairly good English.
The drop-off is not far out and the coral is very good [though not quite as exceptional as some reviews suggest]. Round a single large fan of coral right opposite the bungalow I saw six species of Angelfish. The current is sometimes very strong. There is a nice little beach round the corner that is not covered by the high tide. One morning we watched 11 baby sharks there attacking a big shoal of small fish.
We went to see the mantas twice and failed. All previous guests have seen them. Konstantinus thinks that the diveboats that stay overnight have disturbed them and he is going to try to get them to anchor further away. There are coconut crabs nearby.
The mosquito net was not in place and we were OK without it. There are large brown crickets that call through the night. We had to catch about six every night and throw them out of the bedroom. No rats.
A beautiful and remote place.

I stayed 7 Days at this very nice homestay in lovely compagny with the Saleo family at the end off january. Truely a nice experince. New and nice bungalow and good food. But it is under the water that the true goodies are. Lovely and alive reefs all around the little Island (except few spots where bombs were droped years ago). Many many fish. And not to forget the Mantapoint few minuts away by boat and even more reefs there. Some days the Mantas came closer then 1 m.. It’s a snorklers paradise and the best reefs I have seen in Raja Ampat. If you are at Pam or Mansuar you can lower the transport cost. They are now building one more bungalow that is finished midt marts. English is spoken by Konstan and you can contact him by text om +62 82333561994 or +62 8134005320. If you snorkel – go there.

I was ith my friend Maurizio, the first guests of the homestay; a true and great hospitality, greetings to Constantine and Sterling.
In an atmosphere of lively adventure we have been in contact with all the best that this arcipelago offers. Good for isulation lovers because it is very difficult to talk to each other over the phone, honest price for a great hotel kitchen but all the rest i leave you to look for the wonders of the sea and the one that is there. A dream of rarity
Hi Alan,
Can you provide more please.
I stayed in Batanta Dugong homestay a year and a half ago and i want to come back this year and Pulau Dayan seems to be great.
I am interested to know about snorkeling quality, transfers and food.
Thank you in advance
